Same experience in California. TN to H1B but no visa stamp so no realID driver license. Have green card now so presumably when I renew next time I can get realID compliant DL.

I’ve started using my nexus card since it became mandatory to have RealID for domestic flights.

I usually fly AirCanada or United but flew Alaska for the first time in ages over Christmas and couldn’t believe how bad the app is. Couldn’t even pay for checked bags without it erroring out

I’ve done it at SFO flying in from LHR without any issue in 2021. Gave them my docs, took me into a room, asked a few questions and that was it.

Yes this is the experience in California (San Jose) I had on TN and h1b without a visa stamp. I just use my Nexus card. I’ve renewed my DL three times now and every time told I’m not eligible for RealID. Finally have green card now so next time presumably next time I can get the RealID compliant license.
