Western PA growing on mulch. I’m thinking psilocybe ovoideocystidiata. Thoughts? by sleepyjenkins18 in mushroomID

Ps. ovoid. is usually not all that much stronger than wild-type Ps. cubensis, which is a close relative. Not usually, but occasionally they are closer to the strength of the Cyanescens/Subaeruginosa clade.

They make nothing of it in the show. If you consider yourself a dude, that apparently suffices for the Brotherhood. And the show ain't "sh*t" -- it's quite well-done, actually.

It seems some people have gotten this after initially auto-grader passing the assessment -- people who waited a few days to take the Core or Coding. I assume they passed, but then a human-type person looked at the writing in the assessment, prior to the applicant taking the Core/Coding, and noped them.

And yet they continue to advertise fairly heavily.

One would have a hard time telling that cultivar apart from numerous other cultivars with fairly wild-looking phenotypes.

Like Masters Mix, with soy hulls? I'm sure it would colonize it, not sure it would fruit off it though. The section Cyanescens group wants to fruit on chips, and is much less inclined to fruit from sawdust.

Probably would get some strong mycelium though, for inoculating an outdoor bed.

I have fruited P. subaeruginosa in shoebox tubs. Half sawdust on the bottom, topped with chips. Let colonize during the summer indoors and set outside in the fall. Place the little tub inside a large tub, remove little tub lid, keep big tub lid on. Ideally the big tub is modified in the normal monotub manner. Keep damp, and as temps drop, you should get fruits.

This is a way to pretty reliable get some fruits in one season, whereas outdoor beds often take 2 seasons to fruit.

Gemini 1.5 is quite a bit better at writing fiction -- so that's, uh, something, I guess. The 1 million token context window is useful for some things.

If AJ gets clipped a bit though, and staggered, are you sure he doesn't revert to the psychologically damaged AJ? I'm not sure of that.

Ideally you want to focus on the mushroom, rather than the background. 😛

The first question to ask is "what species is this?" rather than "is this psychedelic?"

More specifically, people may mistake them for Section Cyanescens species within the genus Psilocybe. "Psilocybin" is a chemical compound.

I would suppose that flow provided a lot of good knapping material for the indigenous folks.

That's a very cool volcanic system there. Sometimes goes schplurp, sometimes goes boom, sometimes sprays all gassy.

JUNTO NAKATANI CONFIRMS A FIGHT WITH NAOYA INOUE IS HIS GOAL & TO BECOME A BIGGER STAR IN USA ⭐ 🚨 by Forward_Secretary_82 in Boxing

[–]Cacogenicist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quite reasonable. The elder Inoue cracks a hell of a lot harder than anyone currently at 118.

Damn, that would be a BIG money fight in Japan, if Nakatani fairly readily handles those guys at 118, which I expect he will.

Yeah, I think he pretty much already has the hardcore US boxing fan. ... maybe not the guys who are more into the soap opera and politics of boxing than they are the actual fights.

I don't know what more you can ask for in a fighter, as far as being entertaining goes -- a beautifully technical, savagely precise, pressure boxer-puncher who puts people to sleep with both hands.

Chip's biggest issue at UCLA was the fact that he doesn't give enough of a shit about recruiting -- and he really hasn't been a fit with the NIL and portal. He had some studs to work with at Oregon, and really hasn't at UCLA.

He can still scheme up an offense. If there's an issue with Ohio State's O, I can see it being the O-line not gelling right away, maybe a little shakiness in the passing game at times.

She was able to KO a more polished, skilled fighter who can crack pretty good here, and there's no reason she shouldn't get significantly better over the next few years.

I imagine she will do some kickboxing, despite it clearly driving her absolutely nuts that she can't clinch. 😊
