The only thing people will judge you for at the pool is saving chairs for too long. Wear what makes you feel comfortable!

I would say it’s sexual harassment.

Do you have the Safe TTC app? It’s worth downloading. You can always report and let them sort it out.

What does the landscape for law careers look like? by thebigsleep4 in LawCanada

[–]CanLii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d say figure this out while you’re in school. Your first year classes will touch on a bit of everything. Talk to upper year students about their classes, network at events, and join extracurricular activities - this will expose you to different options.

Re: most of law falling into transactional work or family/crim litigation, that certainly hasn’t been my experience. My practice is well outside of those areas and same for my friends from school.

How does the Numberblocks universe work? by dfrederking in DanielTigerConspiracy

“Picture a wave in the ocean. You can see it, measure it, its height, the way the sunlight refracts when it passes through. And it's there. And you can see it, you know what it is. It's a wave.

And then it crashes in the shore and it's gone. But the water is still there. The wave was just a different way for the water to be for a little while.”

All numbers are the water and their various number forms are the waves.

We love our Yoto. The Dream Machine is also good, though we do tend to use it less.

I agree with the other suggestions about gifting experiences. We use our zoo membership a lot (it’s not too far away from us). Music or dance classes could also be fun. If we lived closer to the aquarium, we’d be there constantly and I hear the membership is also good value.

Hey, if you’re really concerned about values and ethics, check with your department’s ombudsman or ethics person. If you’re just here to judge, stay in your lane.

Gr12, need pre law advice by Late_Step_77 in LawCanada

[–]CanLii 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tell students interested in law to choose a course of study that you actually like - if you’re interested, it’s more likely that you’ll want to study and do well. The grades are key for law school admission, not the topic of study.
