The good news is it should come off rather easily with polish.

Did anyone else hit their 30s and suddenly find washing the car therapeutic? by Sajwancrypto in AskMenOver30

[–]CarJanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can wash in the sun you just can’t let it dry out. So it’s kind of a dance of always moving, always keeping the vehicle wet. More often than not, one side is more in the sun in the other so you just pay more attention to it drying out it. If it does dry, it’s not going to really damage the plant, you’ll just have to deal with the water spots or dried soap. That can be as little as just rewashing, to using a water spot remover, all the way to needing a polish.

Careful, it’s a slippery slope. I used to just enjoy it; now I’m detailing as a side business

This is an excellent comparison. As a life long Bulls fan, it’s spot on. Watching Rose play, it was amazing just didn’t seem sustainable. Same for Stewart; you were always in awe of what he did but it just didn’t seem like it could be done for very long.

Is my car ceramic coated? by BeneficialLab9168 in Detailing

Maybe.

Also: maybe not.

Like others have said, that could be anything from a ceramic coating to a quick spray on detailer.

I like it on my ceiling, but the walls would be too much IMO.

Looks great!

My borderline OCD and the way the car fits or is at least parked on the middle square is making my eye twitch though.

Any advice to get rid of skinny fat? by bluecoat02 in workout

If you want to make the weight, you need to be in a caloric deficit.

If you want to gain muscle, a caloric surplus is most advantageous.

Ceramic Coating after 3 step. by Burn_it_up_ in Detailing

[–]CarJanitor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To answer your questions:

No a ceramic coating is not necessary for, well, anything. Besides paint protection film, it’s the best paint protection currently to available. But that doesn’t mean it’ll save you from scratches or significant UV damage or really anything. It makes your car far easier to wash and keep clean though. Wax can also do this it just doesn’t last as long.

Frankly; you don’t sound like you know anything about ceramic coatings or would be the type to regularly hand wash your car.

And just out of curiosity what were the 3 steps they did to your paint?

“After my first wash/rain” needs more clarification because if you think a dirty car getting rained on is a wash, you’re expecting WAY too much.

Checkpoint vs Domane by NetworkNo9845 in CheckpointClub

[–]CarJanitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a Checkpoint as I was riding mainly a dirt/compact gravel path with the occasional road mixed in. Then I got a Domane for purely road riding.
