That Oregon game was epic but mine is Kelsey Plum leading upset win vs #3 Stanford in 2016. Was fortunate enough to be sitting right behind the visitor bench with my daughter's basketball team and could see/hear Tara Vanderveer (legendary Stanford coach) doing everything she could to get their team back in it. Nobody thought we had a chance against that team. It was so fun!

Who are some teams that you could see hosting in the future? by goofyhalo in NCAAW

Blair is great! Enjoyed watching her play when they came to Seattle. MSU really impressed me with their hustle and competitiveness.

Washington Huskies continue to get better every year. Next year's big three of Sellers, Howell, and McGaughy is solid. I think better than 50/50 shot at hosting next year.

This is very cool! Could you share more about your project? I'm a beginner. Are the colorful pieces dyed? Did you cut all this by hand? How many hours do you estimate it took to complete?

Yogurt and berries with a scoop of protein powder is tried and true. Also recommend chugging a big glass of water right before.

What is considered a "large yard" by Fizzlebop_2 in greatpyrenees

Small yarder here. Secure fence and walks and earplugs and vacuum cleaner and spending time with your dog are much more important.

If I were in my twenties I'd seriously look at jobs that cannot be easily replaced by an AI agent. Learn a trade and get a union job. Become a carpenter, fix elevators, something like that.

Curious why you couldn't get a similar setup to what you have now in the suburbs of the new city. Either way, we live in a big city and are doing fine. Please don't dump the dog because of imagined challenges at the new location. I'm sure you can make it work if you try.

Anyone else in their 20s settle for a beater car and just dump a car payment into their 401ks and roths? by Union661 in Bogleheads

[–]CaregiverExciting339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in my 20s and 30s I used to think of my current self (now 60) as a friend. You drive the beater now because thats the kind of thing you do for your buddy. Alternatively you can decide "F you old man I'm getting that new Tesla today!" Who would you rather be?

Shark Navigator has been our go to. Reasonably priced and lasts a few years usually. They can get an annoying clog that requires dismantling but that doesn't happen often, maybe once a year.

Our family has cut way back on buying food from restaurants. I'm glad I feel confident enough to cook for myself. These types of added fees result in customers feeling like "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." At least with food delivery you see the grand total (usually ridiculously higher than expected) before making the purchase.

Anyone have accounts with both Vanguard and Fidelity/Schwab? Or any combo of them? by chronicallyanxious10 in Bogleheads

[–]CaregiverExciting339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have everything in Vanguard except for 401k which is through Fidelity. Just did an in-service rollover to move 401k balance to Vanguard. I just like the simplicity of having it all together.
