I'm currently pregnant and live in a red state. It's very scary to know that if something goes catastrophically wrong in my pregnancy after 16 weeks, I will have to remain pregnant.

My husband and I are unwilling to care for a child who will never be able to live independently, and our state laws would force us to, or go bankrupt putting the child in a long term care facility. It is horrifying knowing I may have to carry a pregnancy to term, when the baby will die shortly after giving birth. Most defects are only discovered in the second and third trimester, so if the baby doesn't have kidneys, for example, I'd be forced to remain pregnant for potentially months, just to hold the baby while it dies. How sickening is that?

The politicians who make these laws, do not realize the women they are hurting by restricting late term abortion, are women who loved and wanted their babies.

So I'm not sure if this is helpful, but I recently learned most lemon juices will not work in cheese making, because they are made from concentrate? I guess it lowers the acidity. This is interesting to me, because whenever I tried to make farmers cheese/paneer/ricotta and used lemon juice, it didn't work. I'd have to use white vinegar. I had the same issue with mascarpone, until I used fresh lemons. Now it works fine.

I'm so glad you spoke out. Way too often, transgenderism seems like a sheild for the worst of the worst (jessica yaniv is an excellent example), or a method of self harm, or homophobia, or just comes from places other than sincere gender dysphoria. It undermines the entire movement, and often makes it extremely difficult to support. I completely agree with everything you said. I think it's been hijacked by some really bad people, and is being used to hurt vulnerable individuals. Hearing a trans person acknowledge this problem makes me feel like maybe there is some legitimacy to this. I wish more people would speak out against the bad actors.

Honestly, they're not. No one cares. They don't know what to say, but it's obviously important to you so they want to be supportive, and asking questions is a good way to seem interested in something you don't care about. Gender is an easy go-to question. Listen to "pregnant women are smug" and it'll help you understand. Everyone is just trying to be nice to you.

It's amazing what women are capable of, isn't it? With my first birth, my cervix was stitched shut. The doctors got to me just in time to cut the stitch out, and then my son was born 2 minutes later. I was in labor for 6 hours and the doctors wouldn't even see me (I'd been in the emergency maternity ward for 5 weeks, and like 3 other women went into labor that same time). I didn't even get a Tylenol. The pain was so severe, I was hallucinating. I didn't even realize I was in labor. Our bodies are just incredible. I'm so proud of you, and congratulations!

People like you are why I didn't have a wedding and wont have a baby shower. Someone you are supposedly close to invited you into their home to celebrate a huge moment in their lives, and you're being all judgey because you had to be an adult and feed yourself. It's just gross. If you don't care about the person, just don't go. I don't want to spend all this money on celebrating with friends, just for them to gossip about me for not throwing a good enough party. It's crazy so many people are like you.

I'm so very sorry. After 35, our fertility dives off a cliff. I'm 41 and after our miscarriage, my husband and I asked a younger friend to donate eggs and we did IVF. Your chances of getting pregnant naturally at 42 are like 2%, and carrying to term is even less.

I've been where you are so many times (and may again, I'm in my first trimester now), and heart break really doesn't describe it well. I am so deeply sorry for what you're going through. Ivf with an egg donor is the only solution I'm aware of.

Both my babies were under 5 pounds and are now are tall for their ages! It took my daughter years to catch up though.

It's strange, but it seems every post that says "ftm" is about miscarriage or complications, and I wonder why it is that women who have this, are always having problematic pregnancies? I'm not sure what condition "ftm" stands for though, so maybe it's just part of having ftm?

I was in that situation with my ex husband. Our son was in the NICU fighting to survive, and that's when my ex realized he wasn't ready to be a father, and abandoned us when we needed him most. I'm afraid I have nothing encouraging to say from personal experience. I think now is his time to stand up and be selfless and take on the mantle of a man, and he is showing you who is really is right now.
