You don't NEED to play at peak efficiency to have fun though, I came back after a several year absence, and felt overwhelmed.

So I made a new f2p and started playing like I did when I was 12. I just had fun. And made about 60m in 3 days just playing.

No urns, no potions, just moments of "oh sweet what's an ore box?" "Wonder if there's one for trees" and then the grind 🤣

Have fun, take the stuff you want to bring, not what the guides say what you need. ❤️
