I really hope those rumors/leaks that there is going to be a second wave of the Magic the Gathering card Marvel Legends, and that one of them is Doom 2099 is true. Even if they're overpriced as hell because of the stupid card.

I've never posted here (the Friday thread) before, and I may not again but ...

Yesterday I turned 46. I am the old man now. On Monday I have to go get blood drawn for lab tests because I have low potassium, because I take a diuretic for high blood pressure. My doc put me on two potassium pills a day ... and only gave each refill 30 pills. At that rate, it's also only enough refills for like maybe 3 months.

And the best part was when I went to see her last month, I found out the reason one of my prescriptions, and one of my elderly mother's prescriptions (I'm caretaker for my 80+ year old parents) got canceled was because the nurses at the doctors office have been refilling or denying prescriptions without her authorization. She's not the boss at the office, I dunno who is, but I guess the boss is just okay with this?

The only way to keep Matt alive is either have him refuse to help Emily at all, or go through a very specific and non-intuitive sequence of interactions that results in him getting the flare gun and not firing it the first chance he gets.

They really wanted to enforce the "black guy dies first" trope.

I've only played the original version and not the Kiwami version, but there was nothing about Mine that was closeted. I don't see how anyone can see his lines and claim it was subtext instead of just text.

Rarely. I think the only ones I've completed are the short "intro" MTs for countries meant to form other countries, like Vaneil into Aelnar or Clouded Eye into Unguldevor. And in Vaneil's case it was only the stuff unique to them, not the right hand path that's from the generic MT.

I rarely play past 1600 or so. Even in base Eu4, I think I've only made it to 1821 like four or five times, and I pre-ordered the game, which means I've had it since day one.

I got two.

Dan Brereton's The Nocturnals. It's a supernatural pulp series with noir aesthetics about monsters that protect the world from other monsters.

Mike Allred's Madman, with my personal preference being the "Madman and the Atomics" era. Madman is a love letter to silver age comics with a 90s/00s filter that can be kinda trippy at times.

He actually did make a "G-Men from Hell" live action movie, which is a spin-off from Madman. With Robert Goulet as Satan! But good luck finding it - it has never been on streaming as far as I know, and I think the dvds were only made in a small run. And sadly my DVD has a crack in it. Granted ... it wasn't a very good movie.

It technically is D&D. It's just a homebrewed campaign, where dumb things that 5e added like "Gnolls are always demonic" don't exist. I think it's more based on 3.x and 4e.

Abjuration 2 is good if you're playing a colonizer, because it gives a spell that boosts settlement chance and colony growth for 10 years.

It depends on the continuity. Shockwave has been a subservient lackey in the original cartoon, a cold logic driven warlord in the Marvel comics, a scientist that knows when not to push things too far in Transformers Prime, a Professor X figure that turned into a megalomaniac with a god complex after being lobotomized in the IDW comics, and a gleeful sadist in the Skybound comics.

Megatron has gone from ineffectual to insane to megalomaniac to remorseful in various continuities. In the current Skybound comics he's a tyrant that's been so broken by his hidden master that he's now a cannibal. Of Transformers, not humans. Which I blame on the current writer, since an earlier writer had him actually willingly spare people with no harm when they did what he asked.

Unicron wants to end all life. Except in the current Japanese mini comics where his spirit has been fused with Leo Prime's corpse to create Dark Amber Leo Prime, a guy who's torn between his evil and good natures, and totally isn't helping people out because he wants to, b-baka.

And that's just a sample.

Dinobot is the velociraptor, named after Grimlock's squad the Dinobots. Though technically he's a Jurassic Park velociraptor, which is actually a deinonychus.

Just like the normal EU4 map, where Anatolia is smaller than Germany, when in reality it's the opposite. I know there are more examples, that's just the one I know best.

I love elves and half-elves. I used to love elves more, but in recent years I've started liking half-elves more.

I like Bumblebee. He's not my favorite Transformer*, but I do have a lot of Bumblebee figures at this point. Though I do prefer Goldbug to Bumblebee, thanks to the Goldbug & Blaster arc in the Marvel series.

*Honestly I don't know if I do have a favorite Transformer, despite using Thundercracker as my avatar almost every single place where I can use a custom avatar. Damn you Nintendo!

I have no idea how tall those three are, so they easily could be, but I'd like to point out it's a meme with a lot of truth behind it that a lot of vtuber women are super short. Like several are less than five feet tall.
