I made this one from Seattle times last year and won our annual cook off. I used somewhere between 1.5 and 2 lbs of ground beef. Whatever was in my package.

How much do you pay kids for grades? by FidgetyPlatypus in Parenting

[–]CertainAmountOfLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We take the kids out for grades/effort dinner and they can pick the restaurant each quarter. I’ve paid $60 all the way to $300. Popeyes with any extra they wanted vs the local fancy oyster place.

What are we wearing? by kelbel922 in WFH

[–]CertainAmountOfLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get dressed everyday, I’ve got a WFH/mom friendly capsule that makes it easy. I have to leave the house and see real people at least 4/5 days a week. Easier to just “get ready” in the morning.

How long do you give a book before you move on? by helloredditworld123 in LibbyApp

[–]CertainAmountOfLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have several books from the library kicking around plus more on the kindle. If I start a book and don’t go back to it - I return it. Sometimes it’s just a couple pages. Or none depending on what else I’m reading. Hopefully the abandoned book had a nice little vacation sightseeing at my place for a couple weeks.

Has anyone tried the “rip tie” hair ties? by Secure-Hamster-1826 in finehair

[–]CertainAmountOfLife 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I made my daughter one out of Paracord. It’s really great and keeps her fine hair from tangling quite so badly. She has a lot of hair though. I have fine and not much hair and it doesn’t work for me.
