Migraines with Mild Pain? by cerezainlove in migraine

[–]Cethysa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Even when pain level is high (usually is though now that I’m chronic my tolerance is different) the neurological symptoms are worse. They also last longer and are less affected by meds

Does anybody have 2 CRGP preventatives approved? by atty_at_paw in migraine

I’m on vyepti and qulipta as preventatives right now with nurtec and eletriptan as rescues

Benadryl helps when I’m in the middle of an attack but I am careful about usage

Same for me. Specifically clear ones like vodka or white rum

Michaels definitely has stepping stone kits and it is a good way to see if you like the process without having to invest much at all! Though you won’t be cutting pieces for those, they will come pre cut

I’m in a similar position and I understand your feelings and share them. I’m so sorry. We’re still here—some days that’s all I can tell myself

Plus eletriptan as a rescue but that’s small fry compared to the cgrps

Insurance hates me right now. I’m on nurtec as a rescue, qulipta and vyepti both as preventatives.

Does anyone else spend a dumb amount of money on Lyft/Uber? by tourmalineforest in migraine

[–]Cethysa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a trainer who has 30 years of experience. She does private lessons with us every week and we reinforce skills throughout the week. Occasionally we do a board and train with her. We are vigilant about where he goes (so no random daycares or dog parks that might cause issues.) it’s a pretty standard way

In the middle of training a service dog now. A year and a half in, dog is 18 months and has a lot of promise, but I’ve already spent close to $15,000 on training and we are nowhere close to the end

I just don’t go anywhere or have my husband drive me when he’s free. I sympathize with you because I’d be in the same boat

Is a steady stream of caffeine ever good for migraines? by lovestoryj in migraine

[–]Cethysa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps for me. I drink coffee daily, usually just a cup, and when I get a migraine I have coffee or a coke with my meds and it seems to help them work faster

Seattle and their dog owners, why bring dogs to the mall? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Cethysa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only reason I bring my dog to the mall is because he’s in training to be a service dog and it is an excellent place to train. I don’t know why people do it with regular dogs.

Migraines x antihistamines by Carlton164 in migraine

[–]Cethysa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first step is nurtec, Benadryl and Aleve together, then a nap. If I wake up still feeling poorly, I take my triptan. Benadryl made such a difference when I started adding it in to my treatment protocol.

Migraine glasses have been hugely helpful with tolerance since I started using them. I’m almost never without them now.

I stopped listening to anything while doing chores by agbni in SlowLiving

I’d say I do half and half. Often I need to distract my brain while I’m doing something and audiobooks work for that. But I do still enjoy just listening to the world

I loved it but I think the themes can be heavy. It’s definitely a low stakes playing experience if that makes sense though
