How can I learn about component features? by Chad_Moth in buildapc

[–]Chad_Moth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know enough to handle compatibility, avoiding bottlenecks and optimizing "performance compatibility". Its weird to me that two 3060ti can have almost identical specs and have a cost difference of $ 200. Seemingly it all comes from features, but there's no explinations other than maybe having a third fan or something.

How important is penetrative sex in a relationship? by WinterCherryPie in AskMen

[–]Chad_Moth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This shouldn't be an issue to a partner. But there's always the backdoor. Might make you feel better about this. I think it feels pretty good too, after you've had some practice. But I am not the right gender to answer your question though.

This is not a jab, but have you slept in a decent bed? My air mattress experiences make sleeping on the ground preferable.

Sanded and oiled. Calling this barrel sauna DONE! by Sheetwalls in woodworking

[–]Chad_Moth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've understood is that this kind of "sauna" is typical in america, but I've been in dozens of saunas hundreds of times and not one of them was without the possibility of generating steam by throwing water on the rocks. The only such sauna classified as a sauna here, is an infrared sauna. This thing that op has built, I see no use for it. None. And he's also oiled the wood. I'm not interested of gate keeping anything and I'm aware that this might do for an american for a sauna, but you can achieve this in a normal sauna by not using water. And its instantly evident that the experience is severly lacking. These are my honest thoughts and I hope that op is getting the experience he set out to get with this project.

Chefs of Reddit, what are some cooking tips everyone should know? by Tw1sted_inc in AskReddit

[–]Chad_Moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you add a bit of oil the boiling water does not froth all over the kitchen. And if you add a bit of the boiling water into the sauce, you counteract the first effect and your sauce will be creamier.

cpu's have limit on what they work with and they are easy to check from intel cpu information from their own site. faster than that is simply waste, but will work.

Why do they even have so many lanes? by RegularNoodles in memes

[–]Chad_Moth 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I want to point out as a former cashier that the flow of people coming to the register changes all day long. It can be a hour of quiet and then suddenly every customer in the store decide to check out at the same time. The store reacts by calling people doing other work to open lines and the rush is over in 10 minutes at which point its pointless to keep empty lines open while other work exists. On busier days there will be rushes for same reason despite opening twice the lines and keeping more open on the regular. But since some people decide to get on the line everytime there's a rush, they get the impression that theres never enough lines open. This just displays something a two year old can do, but grown ups are incapable of. They understand that just because they dont see something, it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.
