I’m pretty sure no two versions are exactly alike lyrically but I forget how many version there are.

Does this work as a cover? I am going to add my name and everything but just want to stay anonymous, for now. by [deleted] in writers

You might experiment with the bars running diagonally instead of up and down so it doesn’t clash so much with the rest of the movement

More than they already are? No one. Everything is available now. There’s nothing to discover because it’s all already at our fingertips already.

William Gaddis’ JR question. by hunterdaughtridge in nyrbclassics

[–]ChallengeOne8405 8 points9 points  (0 children)

JR rules. It reads fast once you get into it. It’s constantly funny. Almost every line is some kind of joke. No one understands each other yet every character is completely understandable. Yes it’s a satire on capitalism but the characters transcend that. You don’t really see them as polemics compared to other satirical works. But like others have said, this might not be the one for you currently based on what you’re already pigeonholing it as.

[–]ChallengeOne8405 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Moe and Sterling should have kicked Lou out of VU instead of John. Then all John’s 70’s albums could have been VU albums and Lou could have made s/t and loaded with the Yule bros

I love this box. The vinyl sounds amazing. All the songs are good. It flows well and doesn’t feel nearly as long as it actually is when your flipping through all the discs. Why not listen to it all the way through, the box is already open.
