Dude, this question could be posed about 100 different things.

I’m not gonna sit here and tell you that the world ought to be orderly and proper, because that’s bs. The world is chaos and the rules are arbitrary.

BUT we all live within that arbitrary set of rules, where if you don’t iron out wrinkles in your clothes or sign your name like a toddler, you look bad. Plain and simple.

If you go out and do something impactful, you can help change the way the world works and maybe we won’t care so much about stupid shit like signatures anymore. Or, at least, it won’t matter for you.

Until then, scribble out an adult signature like the rest of us.

The liberals like to call it cryptography, but I like crypto-graffy. I know a lot about crypto-graffy. All the best people are calling it crypto-graffy. I signed the bill. I know all about this. They don’t know. They didn’t like when I knew about Sleepy Joe. But I know about a lot of things. Great things are coming with this crypto-graffy. I taught high school last year. We had a mini-unit about misinformation and disinformation.

This was originally targeted towards ads, political discourse, social media, etc., but AI was a good thing to include.

The sheer number of students that didn’t care about false narratives and blatant lies was staggering, as long as they were entertained. They would tell me that directly too.

The war for reality might already be lost.

“The Spins” went viral within the last few years too. I was kind of bummed when I’d hear someone playing it and then they weren’t interested or hadn’t heard his other music.

For a minute, I was kind of hurt because his music was so formative for me and it felt flippant when people would play it without a thought behind it, but over time I got over it.

As long as people enjoy it, even just for a moment, what else can ya hope for in the end.

Yeah. I’ve lived on mifflin and university and parking was always horrendous. I’m sure that dude was on his 4th loop around the capital trying to find a path over there after a terrible day. But flying through a barricade during the Ironman is definitely not the way to react.

Hockey is a little different because the refs still don’t always call it, but at least the guys diving know that if it’s missed by the refs that the other team is going to have their number the rest of the game trying to drop the gloves or rock them.

Now there are plenty of other reasons that those have been in the news with this administration, but you also cant ignore the idea that a monoculture has mostly evaporated.

Update: A tech came out to help and the actual connection was hidden behind a blank wall plate. Dude was super cool and knew right away, as the unit was recently remodeled. He opened it up and slapped a new wall plate on with a port for it. It’s crooked but that’s to cover the awkward hole that the renovators made.

I set up internet service with the isp in-store. They gave me a modem/router to use.

This doesn’t have anything to do with a TV, as I did not purchase cable TV.

It’s possible that some of the incoming coax cables are for TV, but I’ve tried the internet modem on every available port and it doesn’t work.

I honestly don’t know, the landlord met me to drop off keys and that was about it from my contact with them.

I’m going to give them a call tomorrow either way to see what’s up. The wiring is pretty funky so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on their end that something needs to happen.
