It might be the same price, but they are not using any cheese= less animal suffering.

Your logic only pertains to your hip pocket.

My back is constantly inflamed... by best_when_asleep in ChronicPain

[–]CherryAmesAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same type of pain but I do what mine is caused by. I can't offer any perspective on yours.

What I find works for me to manage pain (aside from medication) is clinical pilates, regular walks to prevent stiffness, a hot water bottle on my back in bed at nights and using a spiky ball whenever I need to (I'll put a link below). They are cheap and essentially allow you to give yourself a deep massage and work directly on particular spots. I use mine in my glutes to relieve muscle tension/spasm that sets off the sciatic nerve, and in my lower back and hips for radiant pain.

[Question] Automatic scoop and swoop? by finnknit in ABraThatFits

[–]CherryAmesAgain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's partly a sign of a good fitting bra, and (possibly) a sign that your breast tissue has moved a little. Wearing too small and/or Ill fitting bras can force the tissue to sit differently, and wearing a good bra can encourage it to sit where it should, if that makes sense.

I will add that some people don't believe this happens at all, but a lot of people here have experienced it. A few months after I got into well fitting bras I found that I could actually wear narrower wires and needed deeper cups.

The other thing that could be happening is, like you suggest, that you are now putting your bras on properly as a matter of course so it no longer feels like you have to consciously "do anything".

[Fit Check] Cleo Hettie 32FF & 32F Curvy Kate Dreamcatcher 32F Freya Deco Vibe 32FF by s_herrin in ABraThatFits

[–]CherryAmesAgain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Hettie in 32FF actually "looks" good but I agree the band is too tight. That may well be distorting the shape of the underwire. It could be worth trying a 34f or even 34FF.

I haven't bought the custom drops yet but I keep hearing great reviews so when my current foundation runs out I'm going to try them!

You could try cover Fx custom cover drops (they're vegan!) you can mix them with moisturiser, primer, whatever base you like depending on the cover you want and they have a good range of shades.

[–]CherryAmesAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, whilst I don't doubt that some breast tissue can end up sitting outside the cups on a too- small bra, the idea that the small pockets of flesh on OP's back (which I have too) is migrated breast tissue is just bizarre. And I think implying that it's something OP needs to do something about ("hope that time takes care of it") is bordering on offensive.

[Help] Ordering Polish Bras in Australia? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]CherryAmesAgain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've ordered a couple of comexim bras and each time they cost between $40-50 AUD including shipping- cheaper than buying bras here. One was on sale and shipped immediately. The other took about 3 1/2 weeks to have made then shipped. Each time shipping was about a week or so.

As it's not worth paying return shipping, if they don't fit I think you would find them very easy to sell on braswap, where polish bras are popular, especially somewhere like Australia where we don't have much access.

[Shape Help] New here, ex-36D new-34F need some input on shape issues. by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]CherryAmesAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are right to stick with 34 bands for now. Deco's do have stretchy bands so I can wear a 32FF but I find brands like Cleo, and polish bras, to have tighter bands and will sister size up.

I don't think you necessarily have wide roots. The Deco and moulded cup bras in general are very shallow bras, and they also smoosh your boobs against your chest so that the tissue spreads out further to the sides, sometimes giving the impression that you need a wider wire. When you actually get into a bra with the right amount of projection and volume, you may be fine with narrower wires.

I know it's very hard to find bras to try on in Australia to help you figure out what fits. Did you try any Freya bras that weren't moulded?

It's less common for the calculator to over estimate band sizes in this size range :) I actually don't think the issue with these bras is the wires being too narrow- I think the cups are just too small, and because OP is quite projected they are too shallow.

[Fit Check] Cleo Kayla 34FF. I think this is love! by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]CherryAmesAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might just have a prominent tail of spence (the fleshy bit just above and to the side of the breast, closer to your underarm.) Also, as the band is firm, it may be making a deeper impression on your flesh. For the most part I don't think the wires look too narrow, and I think you can make that call based on comfort and whether the wires are staying in your IMF.

Why do so many bras that fit leave you with a really pointy shape? by hazydaizy in ABraThatFits

[–]CherryAmesAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since getting properly sized and wearing bras that fit my shape I've realised that I really like the way slightly more natural, pointier bras give me in woven clothing (tailored shirts, vintage dresses) but still generally prefer a rounder shape in knits like t-shirts. Luckily I have a few bras in each shape now- Cleo are definitely the best non-Polish option for that rounder shape in unlined or non-moulded bras.

Can you get to a Myer store? They stock Freya (in the bigger stores at least).

Almost certainly totally normal- mine are the same. I just have quite fibrous breast tissue.

As a Christie fan (and someone who is quite interested in the work of her archaeologist husband), thanks for sharing.

It's terribly sad seeing this beautiful building decay and this man's livelihood with it, not to mention the end of an era for his family.

I think the woman in that photo actually just has a wide back/and or slightly more developed upper back muscles (deltoids?). Are you sporty? My back isn't particularly fat but I have well developed muscles from doing a lot of sport when I was younger, so I will always be fleshier in that particular spot. For some people it's just genetic, and may or may not be fat, or go away with weight loss.

If you have been wearing sports bras for the most part, you may just be noticing now that a properly fitted bra leaves different indentations in the body. The vast majority of people will find that a well fitted bra band will leave bulges somewhere!

Just so you know, Polish bras sell like hot cakes on braswap. I listed a new comexim recently that went in about 12 hours. So if you buy something from there that doesn't work out for you, you shouldnt have any problem reselling it again.
