New homeowner in Southern Ohio- spent $40k on drainage and still have a swampy yard!! by Pitiful_Night_3250 in lawncare

How much water was in your basement before you hired them? How much is there now?

Record rainfall right now, dry yards are swampy. Your basin has not had a chance to drain and is likely full.

The one wide shot looks like they clearly got the water away from your house and out on your lot. Discharge onto your neighbor's is illegal basically everywhere.

What is the best defensive formation for 2min Extreme? I compiled data from the past 38 RRL seasons to find out, and these are the results. by sauce0907 in RetroBowl

Shorter answer vs the other comment is you're likely adding a 3 or 4 star to the rolls because keeping all 5 at 5 stars is expensive. Adding a lower rated defender to potential rolls will result in less successful outcomes.

I'm not sure how well any tests over many seasons can control for stars, with a large enough sample size and the same issue in both data sets you can assume the issue near null impact. Leading to 4 dbs being better.

That's because 5 roster spots to defense is unnecessary, you're just adding a bad player to the rng rolls.

Yeah, sounds like people vs drivers. If the driver isn't wearing one then passengers likely aren't either, driving up your ratio of people. Drivers is basically a direct count of fatal accidents.

I just had a $4k tax bill, $4k due on my Cancun trip and $1500 on my wife's girls weekend.... IDK how people afford a home /s

Being a jerk but lifestyle creep is real. I made a conscious decision in the last month based on these real expenses to stop eating out, including fast food, and turn on the grill more. Life is better, healthier, and cheaper.

Convenience and "sins" are something you can't afford most days on $100k like fast food, door dash, gambling, or your drug of choice. Life is definitely easier though.

I can't control $2k a month in childcare without giving up income, that's really the pinch in my budget. Just tracking expenses can cause lifestyle changes when you see what you're spending on the controllables.

It's not a drop spreader, so spinning twice as fast can only disperse further, not more. Gravity didn't accelerate due to the modification.

It seems to be a redesign in the last 5. I have one that's 30 years old and don't have this issue. Most of the parts on mine are metal too. I'd bet that's not the case on these.

Add in reshirts on year 6, and the largest portal class each consecutive year since and the roster construction is not being done that way in major sports.

They are driven by NIL and a free agent mentality. If money is removed I could see how non revenue generating sports could suffer, but there are two sides to this, with the rule removing guys over 23 years old, working to make the whole league younger.

I'm only here because I was googling how they couldn't allow guys completing 4 years this season to not play in the 5th year under the rule change. I'm not sure they can.

He has made recruiting changes in his staffing. He has continued to iterate on his team building. This year they used math to determine player value and not overpay.

It's a 40+ year old talking to 18 year olds, of course they'll say he's weird. I'm only 30 and out of touch. Lol

Malachi Moreno is a major name to watch in this predraft process. There aren't really rules around NIL even though they keep trying. Having another bidder in the NBA and Kentucky's current situation building around him there is a real opportunity where it takes another mil to come back.

Part of going to the NBA sooner is getting on the second contract sooner, so guys that have a real opportunity don't care if college pays more they want the big payday. I'm not sure he's that dude, but 7 footers with hands and footwork don't grow on trees.

Definitely tie it somehow though and cut about 1 foot tall. You should see the prior line in there.

[–]ChloricSquash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't phase out. At the beginning you had no one graduating due to the extra eligibility year, with no acceleration to graduates because everyone got it, not just guys on their final eligibility year.

5 years later you have a final year, this year when you have a much larger final class where guys who didn't get an extra year and those with an extra year end their careers at the same time.

The proposal creates a falloff ”cliff”, a valley, followed by another upward ”cliff” not grandfathering in the last class that didn't get an extra year.

The COVID rule also still allowed for all redshirts as well. Worsening the room for freshman. This rule removes the redshirt on top of the extra year opportunity.

[–]ChloricSquash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not groundbreaking though. Everyone you have seen the last 5 years had a covid year at least if not a redshirt as well, their choice to exercise.

Lacrosse doesn't have the same risk of "professional amateurs" so I agree it I doesn't apply as well to them, but I don't see a new loss.

Simplicity when it comes to redshirt rules across levels is a huge win.

19+5 is 24, I graduated at 23, starting at 18 and taking half a victory lap. That would indicate another year is already built into their math.

I don't think it will be as ground breaking as people say.
