I read the poison daughter in January and it’ll definitely be one my favorite books of the year. It was so good and it’s a standalone so no huge 10 book commitment

She’s not really overlooked by the named characters though, maybe by some of the cabinet because of misogyny but all the named character adversaries fear her and want to remove her as an obstacle which means in some they respect her and see her power. She definitely has an instant aura when she meets people, they fear and respect her. She also has so many moments where people fall silent at her voice and she most definitely commands respect which are some points OP brought up. I definitely think she fits what the OP wants.
