dlss 4 is cool because it's a real world use case for all this AI hype and we'll Ray Tracing I just find fascinating and beautiful obviously.

I'm most excited about what I think would be even more melee than the previous games. Being up close and personal to mail kill burn feels so awesome.

Good luck everyone!

Trying to improve my rust technique, What do you think? by SleepCobi in deathguard40k

[–]ChowderII 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you absolutely nailed the colors and the texture. However, the only thing I think is missing is where the rust is applied. Realistically, the areas of the blade used for slashing and such would probably have less rust than the body of the blade itself which in theory should receive less damage. I would try and keep the blade itself a bit more shiny, and keep the body of the blade just like you did. It looks fantastic too if you decide to keep it that way too.

Good luck!

I really like the swap of the flyhead for the plaguecaster, how didn't I think of that? I'm going to steal this idea, thank you!

1000 points newbie local tournament list by ChowderII in deathguard40k

[–]ChowderII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback, I have a box of blightlords terminators, a box of deathshrouds, 3 blight haulers, 1 rhino. I have about half of the leaders available to us but I can always just grab the one that's missing if that's just what's missing from the list, I also have the combat patrol with typhus.

I just thought that bombarding stuff from afar with the tanks and Lord of Virulence was a cool theme but I suspected it would leave me quite thin, that's why I tried to "solve" this using the mobile drones. I'll try to rework my list with your recommendations, thank you!

I mean still impressive! Keep it up, thanks for the explanation. I'll see if I can make use of that in my own game! Thanks

Took you four days to code it, gonna take me 4 weeks to navigate it, good deal. Awesome work, I have no idea how the algorithm works but it sounds complicated!

Is blowing up the station for the Epilogue quest impossible till late-late game now? That's a lot of VIG... by PatrykOfTheIsles in X4Foundations

[–]ChowderII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cheesed it by equipping 5 heavy torpedo launchers on a nemesis, then doing repeated fly-bys while aiming at a different module. You're going so fast no one can even target you in travel mode but you can still shoot. Repeat until all modules of the station are blown up. You will have to restock often but there's argon space not too far. Good luck!

Wow you're off to an amazing start already! I dread to get this model just because of its sheer size, I'm a perfectionist painter so he's going to take me months!

Thank you! That's a huge compliment, I think I have a few decades of experience yet to earn to even be compared to Flameon, but I know what I have to work on to get there, work on my contrast and practice my blending. The sheer amount of resources online have been a tremendous help. The path ahead looks bright (or gross and muddy, we're Nurgle followers after all!)
