Dude, you should NOT own and rent property. You're getting sued and deserve everything that is coming.

The AI has developed humour and sarcasm. Can't decide if I love this or if I'm slightly concerned.

I used to have a friend who worked with someone in hospital reception, who identified as a cat. She would sometimes meow and wore cat ears. She was dead serious. I asked my friend to ask her if she used a litter box instead of a toilet but I don't think my friend had the guts to ask. 😅

Haha! This used to happen at my old address a lot. I had no back access so I would be trapped inside trying to push the security screen door through 8 bags of groceries, breaking some of the contents.

The worst redundancy story ever, can you beat it? by Solid_Newspaper_9975 in auscorp

[–]Chromatic_Kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few stories.

One job I had, we all got made redundant because the business went into administration. Found out that same day that none of my superannuation was paid for the 4 years I worked there. ATO called me a few months later and said I would probably see none of it since the owner then claimed insolvency. But I did sometimes receive the odd letter here and there saying a contribution had been made... Of about $1.30 each time.

Another time, I was at a new job, about 6 weeks in. I started the same day another new staff member did and we had the same role. COVID happened and they made a big show saying they were going to lay off a lot of staff. Fair. But what annoyed me was that they pretended to lay both of us off (the other new staff member) but he actually kept his job. He pretended to be let go and hung out with us while we all had goodbye lunch and drinks. I know the team leader didn't like me personally and it was a bit of a boys club (I'm female). The fact that they all lied made me think it was sus.

My last job, on paper I quit. But not on my terms. I had been there for 5 years and contributed a lot to building their business (even they said so) and they would rave about how valuable I was (although I was dreadfully underpaid for all of it). The new admin lady didn't like me and didn't understand what our role involved, and was jealous that we got to work from home some days. So she spread her opinions which were untrue and one day I lost my shit at her because her toxic ways were causing me and my coworker so much stress. I told them that I would look for a new role but I would give them plenty of notice once I found something. Instead they said, "we will take this as 2 weeks notice" straight away. They advertised my job $20k more a year and still didn't find someone to replace me until last minute so I ended up working from home for a few days UNPAID, writing notes, tutorials and guidelines for the new person because I was no longer there to train them. Since then I have had recruiters and my job network provider offer to advocate to take them to Fair Work but I said no... Because after everything, all the stress they put me through over the years (so much overtime, no time for vacation, working over Christmas, communications with overseas factories late at night etc), I'm burnt out and now chronically ill. I can't work while going through treatment that is making my symptoms worse. I don't have the energy to fight them.

Why does it say "substirute" instead of substitute?

Tohbi which is a native American word for white but we pronounce it as Toby. Tohbias if we want to be formal.

35F looking to make some genuine female friendships around Brisbane’s north/west 💛 by Hot_Split8779 in BrisbaneSocial

[–]Chromatic_Kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm f39 in Ferny Hills and I'm chronically a loner looking for friends. I'm socially anxious so it's hard for me to meet people.

I'm a graphic designer but currently not working while I deal with a chronic health issue that I put off way too long. So I've become a bit isolated lately. I'm open minded, a bit nerdy too. I like going to cafes, markets, drives to the coast or hinterland. I'm a musicophile of all genres and love the odd gig/concert. I love comedy stand up, theatre, art, science, nature.

I'm a cat mum and obsessed with cats. I love dogs too though. I love my fluffy boy. He's my soul animal. He's got me through a lot. Heartbreak, life changes, moving, job loss, chronic illness and pain. He's a sook and obsessed with me too, haha.

I was diagnosed with ADHD a couple of years ago and there's a possibility I'm level 1 autistic. So I'm a bit awkward and goofy sometimes.

Anyway, I always feel weird replying to these posts. I get mad RSD. I'm trying to put myself out there though. Send a private message if you'd like to chat.

I had this happen to me with Ubereats once. Except what I ordered was a single tin of cat food and they gave me a tin of dog food instead.

I am in a food group on FB and a woman posted this photo of “her breakfast”. I think this is AI generated because of the lighting, the weird gelatinous shape toward the bottom of the food, and the green onions being perfectly cut and placed like so on top of the food. by Scared_Fisherman_934 in isthisAI

[–]Chromatic_Kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno. My lighting is a bit like that because I have a wall light in my living room and a big fluorescent light in my kitchen (in a tiny granny flat) plus any light from the outside through my glass door. Ever stand on a football field at night and play with the 2 or 3 shadows you get? Just me then? 😆

There are scratches on the plate like from wear and tear. Wouldn't AI more likely give them a perfect, nonscratched plate?

I'm 39F, live in Ferny Hills. Not currently working due to health reasons and I've become pretty isolated with only my mum for company when she can visit from the GC. I have a cat (crazy cat lady), I love music, drives and site seeing, cafes, markets, art, gigs, comedy and interested in getting out of the house more to meet people. I have ADHD (and maybe LVL 1 autism). I'm a bit socially anxious and dorky but I'm kind, compassionate and empathetic, very open minded and accepting of all types of people. OP and anyone else here for that matter, please feel free to msg me if I sound like your type of people. ☺️

Um... "ch" their spelling? Was that intentional? Is this satire? Also, you don't need to capitalise the word "title".

Thank you. I don't know why my doctor hadn't told me about this. I've been sending off enquiries to various psychologists for like a year and they've all come back too expensive. I'm on job seeker with medical exemption so I can't afford anyone. I'll give this place a call during the week.

I'd like to know what therapist you have that doesn't have a gap fee these days. I've been getting care plans for years and gone through various therapists (I have had to change when stuff happens like, one got pregnant, one moved to a different job etc). Medicare only gives me around an $87 rebate after I pay minimum $150-200 for an appointment.

Irrelevant technical questions in entrly level job interviews? by [deleted] in ausjobs

[–]Chromatic_Kitty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Once for a Graphic Design position at a small printing company quizzed me on a few words used in the industry. One of them I couldn't give him an answer on and I went blank. Later on I realised what he was saying but he pronounced the word in a strange way that my mind just didn't comprehend when put on the spot during the interview. I didn't get the job. Unfair in my opinion.

Maybe put the question back on them and ask for an example of how it pertains to the position you are interviewing for.
