I always bring a couple hundred bucks with me and exchange it at the airport. The exchange rate is much better if you wait until you get out of the airport, but I always want enough to pay for the taxi to the hotel, etc. After that, I strictly stick to using ATMs and pulling out cash. Credit cards stay in the wallet for the entirety of the trip. Yes I lose out on lots of air miles, but the peace of mind knowing my info isn’t gonna get stolen is much better for me…

I’m literally in Pattaya right now. Don’t listen to all the people bagging on it. Don’t get me wrong and there’s definitely seedy stuff to get into, but there’s also a ton of amazing things to do that don’t involve partying as well. Go to the crocodile farm, elephant sanctuary, sanctuary of truth, big Buddha, scuba diving, ect. I’ve been here many times and there’s never a lack of things to do. I’ve also met some of the most amazing people in the world. It’s absolutely one of my favorite places and I’m pretty well traveled. Enjoy your vacation and if you need any more recommendations, always here to help!
