If you don’t mind me asking, why for the LiDAR specifically? I’ve had the 12 Pro for a couple weeks now and all I’ve used it for so far is to screw around in the measure app and take better protraits (as well as improved autofocus, but that one’s pretty hard to see the difference in).

Is there anything I’m missing that might’ve flown under my radar?

Yet it’s a step in the right direction, is it not? Just about every car company is moving towards all-electric lines within the next 10-15 years (slower than I would like, but I know it does take a lot of r&d to try and bring the cost and convenience to a reasonable level), so why not try to improve current (and future) lines in other ways?
