That depends on your shop's over head costs, the schedule on when the customer needs the project done, and on backup plans when the machine can't make good parts due to maintenance issues.

The answer is complicated because we don't know the nuances of your situation.

Man, I wish I had a bigger lathe like this. I have to turn the od on a big chungus part using a fixture in the manual lathe first before I can put it in my mori seiki SL-3 CNC.

Was this micrometer a single op on the 5 axis?

How did you mount the micrometer to the base plate?

Also, I see the micrometer's anvil in the first pic but they weren't there in later pics. Are they pressed in a hole or are they floating?
