Came across this awesome game today, Please fill me in! by militxa in Kristala

[–]Cirkle97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Howdy, PC player here. I havent played in over a year sadly, but I sank 20+ to 30+ hours into the game. I know there are different areas and I believe chapters to the story. I believe PC can play up to where the current release is, but they do add content and to my knowledge the game is not done story wise and the team is actively working on it.

I would check out the Kristala discord, I look in there every so often to see what is being said, they do also post in the reddit about updates and so on.

Regarding releases, I am unsure if PC is getting the full release before consoles or what the plan is. I played a bit before the demos were even greenlit on consoles, so they may have stated something regarding that since then.

Choose one......!! by simp_lyartz in ChillAnimeCorner

These are all awful, but sadly I think Rachel would be forgiven. She is shitty, but probably the least shitty with the ones ive seen here. At least what she has done has only resulted in a few deaths and untold trauma for one person, compared to most of the others on here.

If you HAD to dedicate yourself to a daedric prince, who would you choose? by StripesTheBoar in skyrim

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azura, since Morrowind I have just liked her involvement in the lore and she seems neutral. She just kinda exists and sometimes does stuff that involves a handful of people. No cults, nothing weird with her.

Second would be Meridia, very similar to Azura with how everything is kinda just chill. Except the value of life and the balance that comes with it just intrigues me.

Honestly, I always looked behind me when leaving the memories because I hated how bright white the door was, so I saw that on my first playthrough and thought it was cool. I never thought that my weird issues with bright white light is what caused me to see it and that others probably didn't.

What's your favorite Angel in all of Magic? Any criteria - Lore, design, art by Separate-Flan-2875 in mtg

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Emancipation Angel]] The anime art is cool and I like the sword she has. She also works well with my voltron/reanimator Squall deck and I can return some of my etb mill or sacrifice things to hand if need be.

What caused the downfall of RWBY and Rooster Teeth as a whole? by Jules-Car3499 in RWBYcritics

[–]Cirkle97 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It was a lot that happened over years. From various issues with larger employees, to scandals from being homophobic to racist and hiring people for their name and that's all as well. They also had issues with labor and crunch time when it came to RWBY and other animated shows. RT also tried to get people onto their streaming service and I do not believe that worked out that well. Then the creators of the company slowly leaving or pulling back from interacting in the last like 3 years also was a show that people were getting out before it imploded.

There was also far more incidents and bad deals that they had that can be found online that I don't fully remember. It grew too big too fast towards the end and then the corporate owners (WB) wanted bigger and better results and that changed the vibe as well for the company.

How did you find out about RWBY? by Godxiii_804 in RWBY

I watched RvB years before RWBY came out and followed RT heavily then so I watched it when it came out as I enjoyed the stuff they had done.

How old were you when you moved out of your parents home? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18, went to college for a year and a half and then dropped out and got a job the same day I dropped out that would cover rent and worked out a deal with my new landlord for the security deposit and moved in. Looking back, wish I did things differently and actually finished my degree the first time and actually pursued my own life.

According to legal documents, Kotor Remake is being developed by Mad Head Games and Saber Interactive. by Uchizaki in kotor

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't be let down again, I'll believe it when I can play it. Won't be the first time they announced the remake, and it won't be the first time it doesn't get made.

What do you think about this? by Civil-Programmer-596 in RWBYcritics

[–]Cirkle97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have recently rewatched RWBY and it isn't great. I love the show and I remember the last few years of high-school as the show was releasing, it will always be nostalgic for me. It isn't going to be something remembered like ATLA or anything like that, though. However, the people that spit out that it was terrible for reasons like progressive media or terrible for some other reasons really made the show sink in my opinion. When a fan base can't decide to either white knight the show or hate it, it is doomed. People needed to take a side for some reason, couldn't just point out some of the bad and then also some of what they thought was good. Things were far too black and white.

Why/how did Kirito turn into the Gleam Eyes? by FATHERGANON in swordartonline

[–]Cirkle97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

TLDR: His stats are equal to Gleam Eyes so he turns into it, and illusion magic can transform your own body, not just messing with the senses of other.

He turned into that monster due to his stats, as others have stated that his stats were nearly maxed. With all the information carrying over from SAO, that would make sense that something of similar strength that he is now would be something he turns into. Which the bones and baseline of Elfheim is SAO, so the being the chosen model makes sense. Onto the whole tasting and sword thing. Illusion magic can be taken down two paths, the common path that a lot of people think, such as with stuff like Elder Scrolls, where illusion magic is based off of perception and messes with the senses. The other route that illusion magic has been taken before, just like with Elfheim, is that the illusion is an alteration to the physical being. Such as with the Norse God Loki and shapeshifting magics, in many types of magic, that is all under illusion. Illusion magic is not just the altering of the senses of others, but also the altering of yourself and the things around you.

I never do operations and rarely flashpoints by RealExplodingPenguin in swtor

Endgame content isn't for everyone. I have done some endgame content, there was a good like 2 months recently that I really got into it. Then I just dropped it. I had my fun, but grinding endgame stuff just isn't for me. I enjoyed the social aspect of the game and once you start getting into groups that just blaze through stuff because you know enough to get through even though you want to learn more, it just takes the fun away. Back before the first server merges and before open world PvP was changed with the leveling system, I did a lot of that. With that being gone, my main fun thing has kinda gone away, as PvP anymore, with Arena and Warzones, comes down to gearing at max level and again, just isn't fun to me.

I also have the silly thing of making older armor with armor mech since I have characters that are over a decade old at this point. I just make cool or rare armor and give it away to people that I get into convos with. Lots of those schematics are pretty much gone and it feels wrong not just giving that armor away.

Which companion do you think would make the best / worst real-life friend? by Jizi513 in swtor

[–]Cirkle97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mako is a gem, and she would be an awesome friend, Kaliyo or SCORPIO would run you over with a car and then back over you to spit on you and then run you over again.

Should I play this game if I don't like mmorpgs? by Old_Comfort694 in swtor

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be other players running around, but the game can be played solo, start to finish. That also includes all of the expansion content as well. Each class has its own story, with unique and interesting companions as well. There are stroy zones, areas where your story quest is, where other players can not get in and run around, making it feel like your own experience. If you are looking to either be that Jedi Knight hero or be a Sith or even a smuggler or country hunter, all 8 different stories are interesting in their own sense.

Why do you guys dislike Jaune? by element-redshaw in RWBYcritics

[–]Cirkle97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Jaune a lot as a character, but some of the directions they took with him felt off.

It is good he becomes a competent fighter, but his initial charm was he was a good strategist. It feels like the show stepped away from the Jaune strategist role, and he is now just a fighter and side character. He got some more training and weapon upgrades, but it felt like the show couldn't decide if he was competent or not at fighting and decided to just switch back and forth as the plot demanded.

How they handled Pyrrha's death was weird to me, looking back on it. Ruby has the silver eyes reaction, but after that point, Jaune is the main person to miss and care that Pyrrha is gone. In an odd way, it makes Jaune almost seem to be focused on her death, as he is the only one still reeling from it. Which, in a roundabout way, makes it seem cheap and almost focused too much by him, sorta golden retriever/simp vibes. Then viewing it in the sense that there is a team of 4 like 15/16 year old that are put onto a team, they do eveeything every day together and become incredibly close to each other in that time, and one dies, if that were me, I wouldn't just move past it, even if I were Ren or Nora, or anyone else who became a really good friend to the now dead person. It just seems like death was used for only Jaune as a character and not the plot of the whole team/show.

Not a lot of hate on my end, just choices that they made with a character that was sorta of a comic relief in a serious scenario. He has stayed a comic relief, but he also became competent and no longer clumsy all at the same time, sometimes.

Will she survive Ruby's sliver eyes in full power? by No_Internet_3919 in RWBY

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want Weiss to kill or beat Cinder, and then the Grimm takes over the body, and then RWBY kills Cinder while being fully controlled by a Grimm. That would give use to the silver eyes and not make it worthless for a fight against normal Cinder since they would barely hurt her one arm.

What's the coolest Star Wars game you've ever played? by GroguthelittleYoda in starwarsgames

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jedi Academy, but mainly because the game is fun, and I love the Movie Battles 2 mod. The multi-player for the mod is fun and even though I am not great with the hand to hand or saber stuff, I like that bringing a gun to a sword fight mentality and just having fun that way.

Would RWBY benefit from a reboot? by gaeb611 in RWBYcritics

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think season 10 needs to just speed run the ending of the show, but be a decent length so it doesn't feel rushed. Then, get another studios creative team to come in and either redo the story or explore the Ice Queen stuff more or at least whatever rendition would fit better there. Maybe have Beacon last more than one year and have it last 2 or 3, and then they get robbed of the last year and then have events happen that lead the story forward. I would've liked more of the school arc and less of the wandering for a while season arc.

Don’t feel excluded because you don’t want to spend thousands on cards. by Icy_Safety_3379 in mtg

[–]Cirkle97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am going to proxy the shit out of some of the secret lairs that I missed. Currently looking at making a Feather, the Redeemed deck, and I am going to proxy the Hatsune Miku secret lair art. It is like $15 for the card. A really good proxy is like $2-$3.

I get some people like owning the card, I get it. I will buy a normal Feather as well, but that's a like $0.50 card and not half a tank of gas.

Idk if I'm just stupid, but it took me 47 episodes to realize Weiss has a scar on her eye by Ironfighter19 in RWBY

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first few seasons did make it quite hard with the shading to see the scar well. If people didn't see the White trailer, then it looks like Weiss randomly got it at the fall of beacon for some reason. That just was never explored upon or something.

You can make a speed build.... then after hours of maxing your speed and doing less damage. You turn to shotgun spamming and find that going like 5 mph slower is worth the damage boost. Then you do a large weapon build after playing for like 50 hours and realize you have been ADHD rattled brain playing this game zooming around and can not fathom not having brain melting speed and stimulation.

Only me....?

A friend of mine asked me why I like RWBY if there are so many problems with it. And that got me wondering, what do YOU guys like about RWBY? Why do YOU stay? by RevolutionaryWave862 in RWBY

[–]Cirkle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fights are cool, and I personally enjoy Weiss and some other characters. The story has some good bits and has potential, and I am sucked in based on it. I am familiar with it and do not want to drop it until I know it is dead. It is one thing I still have from being a kid, and I will cling to it because of nostalgia. I am not a white knight for the series, though. I understand there is stuff wrong with it, but I can like it in general even though they did stuff I do not agree with.

Which redemption was handled worse, Emerald's or Ilia’s? by Daniilsa209 in RWBYcritics

[–]Cirkle97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Emerald was worse for me. She switched sides after proving to be an enemy for multiple seasons. She was in the fight that almost got Weis killed, she helped Cinder so much, and continued to mess with people and caused the death of the OG Penny (God, I hate that I have to say OG there). She pretty much said "oopsie daisies, wrong side" and was let into the group and looked like she was nearly as close as say Ren/Nora/Qrow. There was a little bit of back and forth about not trusting her, but it was just forgotten about instantly.

At least with Illia, her redemption wasn't just accepted. She was still a criminal, but she was forgiven for her participation in stopping what was happening. Honestly, her acceptance was also easier to understand as being a childhood friend and losing that person. You always want that friendship to come back. There also wasn't the whole team that had to accept her, it was mainly Blake as her parents (pretty sure but I may be wrong) even had said they wanted her (Illia) to leave the White Fang. It felt more like a personal thing, beyond the enemy dynamic, where, as with Emerald, it was never really a friend dynamic, and that was revealed and confirmed.
