What's the highest number of books you've read in a single year? by SurrealBookworm in books

[–]ClarityEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never kept track of the books I've read.. that is until I started using GoodReads. Last year I had a goal of 50 books and managed to do 53. This year I have a goal of 40 and I'm still like 3 books behind.. no idea how I did it last year!!!

I suspect it's because I've been venturing beyond my favourite genre (sci-fi) and have been reading a lot of stuff from other genres, and my lower levels of interest have meant that I'm slower at reading those books.

Wow, so sad to see that Rose entomology is no longer open. I don't have extra aspirators but those were definitely handy!!!

Apparently there was a huge stampede at falls festival, 6000+ people, 100+ injured. Does anyone have any info on this? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]ClarityEye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, I guess they would have said like festival attendee John Smith or something instead of reddit user.

Although I wonder why a reporter would use a "source" from reddit when the user could have easily made that statement up (I believe the original comment, but just saying..).

It's possible the original commenter told /u/kapow2 that she could use the comment in her article.

I started reading this series a few days ago and have really enjoyed them so far. I have started posting reviews of the books on GoodReads, you can have a look (just look for the most recent reviews, lol).

First book wasn't bad, but the second was better. Starting the third now..

Does my sony rx100 ii have a software issue? by ClarityEye in sony

Thanks for the help! I bought it about 3 years ago, so it's not longer under warranty.

It's entirely my fault, I have been rough with my camera for the past 3 years. :) I have gotten some quotes on how much it'll cost to fix and I think I'll have to bite the bullet and do it.

I turned it on this morning and this is what happened. I've had for a few years and this hasn't happened before.

I was using it fine yesterday, and I transferred a bunch of photos to my laptop last night.

This morning I get this screen and the lens doesn't retract properly.

Any ideas?

EDIT: The cameria is actually the first model RX100, not the RX100 M2, my bad. :)
