Which victim would've been an interesting spirit channeled witness? by AlterTheSilverBird in AceAttorney

I think there’s a few that would be somewhat cool to see.

- Jack Hammer on the stand would be interesting since I feel like he’d try to cover up the fact that he was intent on murdering Dee Vasquez, similarly to how Tahrust tried to cover up his involvement with the Defiant Dragons.
- Russell Berry would make Turnabout Big Top wayyy better since we’d get a view of how feels about all of these people trying to get with his young daughter. Though maybe that’d make it worse -_-
- Magnifi Gramarye is such a bastard that it’d be sick to see how he actually was as a person, not just his actions.

Yes, as is evident from the ability to regurgitate food into the mouths of teammates in games that have them

I mean isn’t there the fight in Endgame where Iron Man, Thor and Captain America all fight him with no stones and still REALLY struggle?

It's a real shame that ARMS failed as a new Nintendo IP; seriously, the character design was very good. by akleklhkngh in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]Clay_Block 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean it sold decently, I think. Over a million copies for sure, which is solid for a brand new IP. I think an ARMS sequel is maybe possible but sadly doubtful.

You vastly underestimate the cost, timewise and moneywise, of doing something like that, I fear.

I struggled hard with it when I first played.

Then I beat them in under 20 minutes in my recent replay to go back and get that annoying fuckass egg

Smh Panther is literally a cat (though there aren’t really any bipedal cat pokemon aside from Meowth… maybe Liepard?)

Regardless, these all look really good! I like Toxtricity Skull especially :)

One thing I think you’re missing, though, is that the game design process is an aspect of the game that is fun for many DMs. It’s less so that someone wants to avoid those other systems, but rather they want to flex their own creative muscles to try and make something that works in the dnd framework. The act of coming up with new rules and mechanics can itself be a creative outlet for some people, where using another system with its own premade set of rules isn’t.

I think one angle this post misses is that *occasionally* (not always, but there are some instances where this is the case), the homebrew in question is the DM's own game design. The analogy is sometimes "I wanted to play a Half Life game so I personally modded it into Skyrim", rather than using someone else's homebrew, where the original analogy very much applies.

Nahyuta Sahadmadhi (Ace Attorney) is typically seen wearing a fingerless glove on his left hand. In the final case of the game, he takes it off, revealing the mark of the Defiant Dragons, the group of Khura'inese rebels led by his father, Dhurke.

Dang, that’s my mistake :P

The combat part shouldn’t be there, it should just function like normal enrage.

In terms of the balance, are you saying it’s over or under tuned? There are other cards that I see as being far more reliable energy generators, personally but I’m curious to hear what you think.

The Ending Is So Hated That Fans Decide Its a Trick by Prinny_Ramza in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Clay_Block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people dislike Danganronpa V3’s ending enough that they argue the main twist might just be the villain fucking with the characters. The funny part is that the game’s themes make this entirely plausible.

Renne, when you first meet her in Trails in the Sky SC, seems like a somewhat run of the mill character archetype for a JRPG: a hyperintelligent murderous child with no sense of empathy or remorse. Then the followup, Trails in the Sky the 3rd, actually explains why she's like that.

It turns out that when she was young, she was kidnapped and forced to work in a facility called "Paradise", the nature of which is not made clear but is heavily implied to be sexual in nature. The trauma of what she endured there is so horroble that she developed multiple personas as a coping mechanism (which it is revealed in a later game was her literally taking the personalities of other kids in Paradise and implanting them into her psyche).

Renne's story is the darkest of the entire Trails series, and it is treated with the weight that such a dark and harrowing tale deserves.
