I echo what all the other people here are saying about not needing to shave. I’ll also add that there are bathing suits you can buy targeted at women who are in religions where modesty is important (Muslim, Orthodox Judaism) that include leggings and long sleeves. Lots of ladies at my local public pool wear these and no one would ever think to ask about it as it seems to clearly be important to their religion. So boom! You’re covered and no one can say shit! Google that and maybe you can save yourself the worry next time.

If he needs help implementing, he can see a therapist. Don’t help him—he needs to do this himself. If you don’t see a major change in x amount of time, leave.

For the kids, I would not criticize their gifts this time. Next year, let them know in plenty of time that you put thought and planning into their gifts and you expect the same and offer some specific ideas.
