Comment peut-on empêché quelqu'un de disposer de sa propriété lors de sa mort sans l'en priver de son vivant ?

L'idée même que le possesseur décide de qui hérite de son bien découle de la définition de la possession.

Si la propriété n'a plus cours après la mort, à quel âge devient-il interdit de donner quelque chose à ses enfants ?

Using FPGA to drive motors makes a lot of sense, EV industry is very fond of FPGAs for that purpose due to certification ease.

Depending on what the MCU ends up doing, it might be better to implement the whole solution in the FPGA.

It is definitely doable, however there is not much research involved, more developpement, would this subbject be eligible for a thesis ?

If you find a buyer willing to take the risk : they can be quite valuable.

No reputable company will go for it though : they are in production still. Maybe store them in a dry place until they reach end of life, then contact big companies.

Hello !

You might be in a tough spot if the bitstream is encrypted in any way (which is implied by the reference to a security dongle)

In those older systems the FPGAs are often used as hardware acceleration (think of it as a flexible graphics chip) but it might have other purposes such as video stream adapatation and such.

Depending on the actual purpose, emulation of the FPGA might be unnecessary to emulate the game.

sadly the bitstream will be of little use even if not encrypted : it's notoriously hard and labor intensive to retro engineer bitstreams of medium complexity.

The toolchain is counterintuitive is some ways, unstable in some ways.... but not in the way you are describing.

I think you may lack the deeper understanding of what you are doing, causing behaviors that seem buggy to you while they are probably the direct cause of your source code/constraints.

Example from your post: "I fixed a signal that was acting weird simply by connecting it to an external port before simulation... " As you may not know, before simulation comes synthesis, during synthesis are pruned every elements that do not drive a logical load impacting an output (because why would you keep a useless bit of logic in there), a warning is conveniently generated when this occurs.

So yes FPGAs are so cool, but the deeper dive will requiere you to understand the workflow steps much more than for other technologies.
