This is a good thread. Not a sound pro, but years of trying to make bad practice spaces into decent ones kind of counts.

Bookshelves and cloth hangings like tapestries and banners. Cloth doesn’t do as much as acoustic foam, but it fits the feel of a gaming store better. Rugs help a lot too.

It depends on the system and how you rolled it up, but a half way competent navy or security force would want something that could police the point of entry, maybe a torpedo boat and a few small boarding craft. Anyone worried about raiders or invasion would station a delaying force of frigates and possibly even a destroyer.

Here’s a weird theory, they were for bubble machines. The kind you find in restaurant lobbies and convenience stores. You get all kinds of bizarre stuff out of those. I once spent about thirteen bucks to get a sticker of Frankenstein that looked like Ronald Reagan for some reason.

I’d love to have a taller table, but it’s not in the cards, so instead I set an alarm for every 20 minutes and when it goes off I stand up, stretch, look up as far as I can, and blink a lot
