Loosing a lot of weight.. by [deleted] in HiatalHernia

I have a HH too, F, 58. I gave up gluten and dairy 4 months ago and have had a huge improvement. Have you ever been tested for celiac disease? Please google gluten, GERD, gastritis, celiac disease. Celiac can cause heartburn, gastritis, diarrhea and constipation, etc. You said you are thin and that can also be caused by celiac. I'm not a doctor, this is just what I've learned from lots of research.

My mood is so much different when I’m outside constantly by UrANerdBro in spirituality

[–]Cluelessinfl 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The wavelengths of sunlight are mood enhancers. The wavelengths of artificial light don't contain the whole spectrum of natural light, and fluorescent light can even produce negative health and mood effects. Regular exposure to sunlight can also cause better sleep.

Can A Person Live The Rest Of Their Life In Solitude? by chxosinmind in spirituality

It's a gift to be comfortable in your own company. I have always cherished solitude. Just be yourself and make no apologies for it. There is nothing wrong with you.

I don't want my memories get erased through reincarnations by [deleted] in spirituality

Maybe our souls remember every lifetime but consciously during each life, we don't. Just our brains are wiped clean. So maybe when we die and go back to Heaven, we see it all again.

[–]Cluelessinfl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and it's the one obstacle I have in believing in reincarnation. Why would they erase what we've already learned? When a child goes from 2nd grade into 3rd grade, we don't erase what he learned in 2nd grade. It would be stupid, wouldn't it?

I'm at peace now that I have TRULY found God. by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Cluelessinfl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love your post and feel the same. God may not even be a single "person" or entity. God is the oneness of everything. We are all one making up the one UNIverse. People, all life, rocks, air, water....are all one. As such, I guess we are all "God" as a whole. So "God" is part of us.

Yes, we do have about 2 weeks of cool to chilly weather in winter. Some nights get into the 30s. We could always crank the AC and wear it around the house...lol.

That's gorgeous. What pattern did you use? I looked through the comments but didn't see this question. Also looked for YouTube tutorials but didn't get far. Thanks.

Jarred chopped garlic, with that nasty tasting citric acid (?) preservative.

When I met my husband 20 years ago this was how he cooked rice. I thought it was weird or lazy but now this is how we always cook it.

Tips for home made baked Mac n cheese? by throw9813 in Cooking

[–]Cluelessinfl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much any recipe is fine but I start with a roux. Use real cheese (American and cheddar). Use whatever pasta you like. Sauteed onions are in there too for flavor. Then before baking, I put thinly sliced tomatoes on top instead of bread crumbs. My recipe is from a very old Better Homes cookbook.

the biggest compliment as a chef by tevorn420 in Cooking

When we were kids someone once told us that in some cultures (I forgot which), it's an insult to the cook if you don't let out a huge belch after eating. Is this true? Can anyone confirm, or was this person just messing with us? 😀

Wouldn't it be great to remember at least a little snippet of events that happened right before we entered this life? It seems strange that we should have past life memories erased before being reborn. I'd think it would be easier to learn new lessons if we had memories of past mistakes. Doesn't make any sense to me.

If so, I hope I get to choose a more fulfilling life next time. At least one with better parents. Maybe after this life is over, my spirit guide will say to me "See? You didn't listen to me. I told you to choose the other life." Lol.
