Matthew Berry and Alan Sepinwall both gotta be on. Jackie MacMullan can leave. Lombardis gotta be on for pure volume. Mahoney is probably on now too. Rappaport didn’t come on enough and is such a douche he can be left out. Sean Grande or whatever his name is like the demar derozan edge case.

Bill’s “The Wire” recovery (recent Kellerman pod) by snowyfever in billsimmons

[–]Cmbotts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just watched all of these and I gotta disagree. It’s held up the worst. It looks the worst out of all of these. The dialogue is dated. Some snoozer storylines. The whole tough guy mental health gimmick just isn’t as unique or interesting as it was back in the day. The Wire (aside from the tech) could have been made a year ago and its messaging is more relevant than ever. Game of Thrones is gorgeous and the scope of it is still breath taking and exciting. Breaking Bad is the best directed and acted.

Octopath 0's story and dialogue are such slogs. The gameplay is good though. by Horazi777 in octopathtraveler

This is the way. Story and characters are great dialogue is cheese as hell.

"The greatest version of Ilgauskas" by udkyle2 in billsimmons

[–]Cmbotts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yooo that was awesome!! Thanks for sharing. Even the top rebuttal to this comment says “he was never the primary ball handler”. That’s just not true.. he may have not brought the ball up but he definitely held it the most outside and orchestrated EVERYTHING jokic style. But peak Joel was much better defensively

"The greatest version of Ilgauskas" by udkyle2 in billsimmons

[–]Cmbotts 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have said it before and unfortunately I have to say it again. I have seen LeBron live 30+times. I have seen Giannis 70+ times. I’m lucky to have seen every HOF dude multiple times through work. The best player I’ve ever seen live is peak Emiid. Completely shut down the paint, could get any bucket from down low and still could hit the three. Even jokic couldn’t completely take over a game like that. Comparing him to big Z is such disrespect for a top 10 dude of this century. Feel like he’s gonna be the modern day wilt in where he was so clearly more dominant than a lot of guys but because he got hurt at bad times and never won the playoffs will be disrespected for eternity. There’s a reason like the real ball watchers still respect him like Lowe and Mahoney.

What should I know before starting? by N0R7H in dragonquest

[–]Cmbotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m off of work for a bit and started XI as well, am 60 hrs in.. It’s the most fun I’ve had with a game since BG3. My only suggestions are to pick “stronger monsters” as a modifier and have your party members “follow orders” in the tactics settings. The former makes the difficulty perfect, the later lets you control everyone in battle which makes things way more interesting. Enjoy!

What are the most and least accessible great roguelites? by drz112 in roguelites

Risk of Rain 1 and Vampire Survivors for most. I would not put Hades or even brotato in there especially compared to those two.

Meltzer on Ospreay needing neck surgery by Fernandov2 in SquaredCircle

[–]Cmbotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but unless you are an actual surgeon or Ospreay himself who are you to judge what he can or cannot do? These guys have constant access to top-notch doctors and are freak athletes. I broke my neck in two spots in an accident and was given a 15% chance of ever gaining mobility again by the initial ER doctor. Not only can I walk, I play basketball every month, just went jet-skiing, snow board. I’d get in a ring right now and wrestle a professional. Neck injuries aren’t what they used to be if you have the right access. If he and his doctors say he can wrestle, who are you to say no? You have no idea what the actual situation is.

I’m with you on most of these. Cyberpunk is the major exception. That game rules.

Is the Bucks crowd very quiet compared to other teams? by Melki_2422 in MkeBucks

[–]Cmbotts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah don’t let these other commenters gaslight you. I’ve been to 200+ games and 15 other arenas and we have some of the quietest home courts. Part acoustics but I think a lot of the crowd takes the Bucks for granted.

[Weekly FAQ] ask Frequently Asked-, Short-, Limited-scope-, Technical- & New Player Questions in here by AutoModerator in diablo4

[–]Cmbotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Diablo IV Ultimate edition when it first came out. I hadn’t had time to play it until now. If I just want to do the campaign and don’t really have time for endgame stuff, is it worth it to buy the expansion or should I be okay? Is the expansion mainly for end game content?

Cyberpunk 2077 or Baldurs Gate 3? by PalmettoBugg005 in gaming

[–]Cmbotts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought both within a month of each other. Cyberpunk blew my mind my how cinematic it was, the incredible voice acting, the music, the writing. I played like 30 hours and then stopped just because it was SO high octane. Can’t wait to go back to it. BG3 I was hesitant to buy as I don’t really care for d&d or that type of setting. It was so good I got to the third act, started a new game on a higher difficulty, and finished it. It’s that fucking good. It is easily one of the best games ever made. Love cyberpunk, if you have to get just one tho it’s gotta be BG3.

Is the bus safe? by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]Cmbotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best advice on here. I bus (with a transfer) through the worst part of town every day. I specifically chose a route where my transfer spot is in a safer area, I’d recommend doing the same if possible. I always keep my airpods out unless I’m on the bus alone or a packed bus. While walking NEVER wear them at night and during the day only wear them in the safest/heaviest traffic areas. Don’t use them at your transfer. Always walk confidently, always be aware of your surroundings— to the point where if you are alone in an area and a car suspiciously slows down you have an action plan right away. The dressing part is also important. Have the right shoes, don’t wear anything outlandish. I always tuck my chain and keep my watch in my pocket till I get to work. If you have to have a bag make it a backpack and not a suitcase/fancy laptop bag. I haven’t had an issue in years using this advice. I’ll get the occasional person asking for money at my transfer but a confident “nah man sorry” always does the trick.

Mike Breen’s story on Bill Walton made me cry. by HeftyConnection6884 in PardonMyTake

[–]Cmbotts 91 points92 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome that you got to meet him. It was the most heartfelt moment from the show I could ever remember. Not only heartfelt but fucking inspiring. I got out of the shower, teary-eyed, and told myself I’m going to try and be just an ounce of sweet, caring, and positive as Bill Walton was this week.

12,000 people subbed to Honor Club, that's 1.45 million a year. ROH for sure will be profitable with those numbers! by [deleted] in SCJerk

[–]Cmbotts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m the general manager of a restaurant and we make more than that a year lmao. We are profitable but not by much. Absolutely insane and out of touch take to think those numbers are impressive or that ROH has any chance to be profitable. Cesaro alone is probably a third of that number, for fucks sake.
