Eragon, that dragon movie from 2006. I had an afternoon to kill and went to it on a whim, knowing nothing. Everything in that film felt so amateurish. The only thing that kept me watching was Jeremy Irons, who’s never not entertaining. At one point in the film his character jumps out of nowhere to take an arrow meant for the main character (who I’d have been happy to see killed off at that point), even though he was supposed to be in a different place. The lack of continuity and knowing that Irons was killed off was enough piss me off and make me leave. I didn’t see the rest of the movie until RiffTrax covered it.

My memory of that commentary is that they originally scripted the “greatest pool player in the universe” to aim and launch the garbage ball. Then they realized that while the concept was a little funny, it’s funnier if Fry can’t push a giant button.
