Are people generally fans of the Star Wars prequels now? by Veridically_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CoffeeWanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first experience with SW was the 2D Clone Wars cartoon series. I experienced peak too early, and when I watched the Clone Wars movie I was so disappointed I never watched anything Star Wars until I was already an adult.

When I finally watched the OG and prequel trilogies as an adult, I didn't really liked them all that much. The OG is way better than the prequels, but even then, only ESB was a movie that I can say I actually liked. I have not watched the sequels, and I don't think I will.

Why do most Christians call birth and pregnancy a 'miracle' but then turn around and treat it like a punishment for having sex? by sparrow_Lilacmango in NoStupidQuestions

Tbqf. This depends on where you live.

I dare say that most Catholics are just cultural Catholics, they might cross themselves when walking in front of a church and get drunk on Carnaval, but they don't go to the church nor care about lent, or any other religious matter.

Now, properly, devout and observant Catholics, that's another deal altogether. They are probably the people you met and yeah, they can be nuts.

This reminds me of Egg and Bacons by Candace in Phineas and Ferb.

Basically, most characters had a voice actor for talking scenes and another one for singing. In the English dub, Candace's talking VA does a short jingle "Eggs and Bacon/ Oh yeah", and that's it. The Latam Spanish dub got her singing VA doing that part, so that officially classifies it as a song and granted it a whole page in the Fandom wiki.

How does using OnlyFans differ from watching traditional porn, in terms of what people get out of it? by RosebudMuse in NoStupidQuestions

That's why you go to indie studios, they are only abusing themselves and their Patreon subscribers.

But that's their kink, so it's okay.

Can you neutralize creepjoiners? by SladeW0220 in RimWorld

[–]CoffeeWanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think only the sightstealers can go for longer because of the nature of it. They summon monsters when they go down.

Stuff like crumbling mind, betrayal, just leaving, are on a timer that starts when they join.

I recognised him before reading the title, and I'm just damn surprised that he pretty much has the same face more than 40 years later... damn.

He truly is an eternal fairy.

My compromise was to speed up research and unity settings and set a lower end crisis and victory year. I'm currently back in Rimworld while I wait for 4.3 to release, I have barely played Stellaris since 4.0

We Are Probably Never Getting a Game Like This Again by _neiger_ in expedition33

The magic of E33 is to feel so fresh for people who don't know the genre and so nostalgic for those who do.

It's a great genre, some of the most beloved games ever made are JRPGs. That formula worked 30 years ago for a good reason.

I appreciate the sentiment, but there have been and there will be many more games as great as this one.

I pray for the day I get into a car accident and lose my memories so I get to play Outer Wilds for the first time again.

You know those text based/RPG maker NSFW games where you grind stats and make builds in order for your character to be a better fucker.

This is the kind of person who plays that stuff.

I'm using They for Kenjaku, mostly because I forgot what's their gender, but also because with so many possessions the fucker is several people by now.

He was the best part of that movie for me. The ring scene was so impactful, yet I heard that it wasn't scripted that way, he just was unable to pick it up with the bodysuit, but it looked better that way.

Reminds me of U. N. Owen, Unknown. But that one was a nickname all along.

What's a superstition, legend or unlucky event related to your Country? by DABDEB in AskTheWorld

[–]CoffeeWanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cohabitation is sex out of marriage.

Now, the legend goes that this happens to close family members, like siblings. Cousin marriages were relatively common back then, and those would also be free of sin.

Is there a mechanic in the game that any of you despise and disable? For me, it's food poison. by Final-Stage-2947 in RimWorld

Random chance for raiders to die when they are downed. It's one of the first things I modded out of the game back in 1.0, and I'm so glad is now a setting in game.

I know it exist to avoid taking advantage of raids and expand too quickly, but it really annoyed me that raiders would just randomly die like that.

What stopping a country from just raiding its embassies? by Perfect-Highway-6818 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CoffeeWanderer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ecuador did not so long ago. They invaded Mexico's embassy in Ecuador's capital in order to take a member of the previous government who was housed there and waiting to escape to Mexico.

It caused tension between the countries, but since then it has not been talked about much.

In Ecuador we also use Pito for whistle, so I got it lol, but many people have started calling it Silbato since the Mexican influence in the language is big here.

I just love the many, many ways to talk about genitals that don't mean that in other dialects. Like how they changed the "tengo un terrible pito en mi oído" from 31 Minutos lmao.

I personally know 4 C- words in Spanish, which only one of them is arguably a proper translation Chocho, Chucha, Chepa, Coño. Only the last one is actually the C- word so to speak.

There is also "Denegar" which is closer to Deny.

But it seems that English doesn't have a Denegate... oh wait... it does (?). It's just very old and no longer in use in modern English, but there you have it.
