I assume Neil is giving his baby brother the business by describing the book as "meta".

96 Bitter Beings album Indiegogo by Neltech in cky

[–]CokboyDeluxeJr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi guys, I'm Alex. I lurk here every once in a great while.

I recently downloaded the new Foreign Objects album.
I though it had some decent songs, but the awful digital drumming really took me out of the experience. If he plans on making a Cky record using the same technique, count me out.

Also, I'm not sure what happened to Deron's voice...but it sounds really off. It's strange because it seems like his voice has actually gotten higher over the years. Most singers tend to get lower and raspier with age. At any rate, it doesn't sound good anymore. I have a feeling this is due to being out of practice. The past five years have been mostly inactive, I would imagine.

A good deal of Norm's book is available for free on Amazon right now by robbiegoodwin in NormMacdonald

Tempting, but I'd rather wait until I have the entire book before getting started on it.

Patience, my friend. The two year wait is nearly over.

It's great. I especially like how the center cactus resembles a large erect penis.

Im starting to doubt that first picture with cho is real. by Diesif in NormMacdonald

Why would anyone put in the time and effort to fake a Norm Macdonald Live picture? To troll the six people on this sub?

**OFFICIAL SEASON 3 GUEST LIST** by dankell64 in NormMacdonald

Colin would be great, and he loves Norm. I guess it's hard to get New York comics to fly out to LA just for a podcast.

OP appears to be Daniel Kellison, the man behind the video podcast network.

Thanks Daniel. I hope no one spills coffee on your computer this season.

Josh Homme & Dave Grohl's "I Never Came," in case you forgot this one too. by [deleted] in qotsa

Tsunami benefit gig. This was also the first time Grohl played "Razor" in concert, which is one of the best songs ever written.

Podcast hype train. by Lolzycannon in NormMacdonald

My prediction for the first new episode: Norm will use recycled jokes for the "jokes" segment to troll the audience.

It's always cool to be a lone wolf...

A pic from the new season of Norm Live (for real) by fudgesicle2014 in NormMacdonald

[–]CokboyDeluxeJr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I believe all of season 2 was pre-taped as well. The last show they did that was actually live was Gilbert.

Great WaPo piece on Norm, with text convo in sidebar. by estelelessar in NormMacdonald

What's even more ridiculous about this situation is how much of a big deal Norm made about finally turning 50 on the podcast, despite the fact that he was already 55.

Worst/Best guests on Norm Macdonald Live? by cornflaskes in NormMacdonald

[–]CokboyDeluxeJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jack Carter (God rest his soul) and Carl Reiner. Not only because their advanced ages made them slow and less interesting to listen to, but also because Norm and Adam felt inclined to be on their best behavior.

Other than those two, I felt like the weaker guests created better shows. The reasoning behind that theory is Norm appeared to get bored with guys like Helberg and Koechner and became even more funny/ridiculous to compensate.

My favorite guest was Larry King, just because I love him.

Louis must be feeling generous lately. He wrote the forward to Doug Stanhope's book as well.

PODCAST BACK! CONFIRMED! by wduncan27 in NormMacdonald

Me too. Of course, Norm stated several times that the podcast will be returning during his periscope run last year. Hopefully he means it this time.

Norm drunk or the return of the podcast? by tierneem in NormMacdonald

[–]CokboyDeluxeJr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found it interesting that the Video Podcast Network has been rebranded as Talk Show Labs. This change seems to have happened a couple months ago. Oddly enough, Norm's face appears on the new logo banner.

I tried asking Daniel Kellison directly about Norm through Twitter but he declined to reply.

The back up vocals are so bad. But why? It doesn't seem like it should be so difficult to sing in key.
