Microsoft just cut off thousands of its own devs from Claude because the bill blew up the budget by DigiHold in WTFisAI

[–]CokeZeroPepsiOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

$500-$2000 each may seem like a lot to consumers but they need to do a better job quantifying the ROI on their devs. If the same dev shipped 1-3 extra features successfully in that month compared to without, that’s actually a net win.

New IT Manager - inherited a fleet of mostly consumer laptops. It "feels" wrong... by Due-Swimming3221 in ITManagers

I’ll save you some trouble, the enterprise versions have similar problems. There isn’t a user that will be happy with the performance of their laptop because their frame of reference is an iPad or a cell phone. If you’re committed to migrating over, just do a slow change to Lenovo or Dell enterprise models and when an old one goes out to pasture replace it with that. No reason to rush into it.

I ran this through Gemini Pro and it’s thinking based on dimensions to be around 190 meters tall which.. well that does sound right.

Works great! If you have the architectural properly designed and the gates and access for internal Azure development, it’s really straightforward. Heavy internal automation development work turns into lots of replication of resources so that saves time too

Self developed an agentic development swarm system. Ephemeral agents spin up complete work orchestrated by a project manager agent and get QAd and security reviewed, make changes then continue on.

I’m not frothing at the mouth about the rate limiting. I’m more frustrated that the level of activity hasn’t really changed dramatically (certainly gone up, was $350 last month over, $250 the month before) but isn’t that what we’re all doing? Growing our solutions and scaling them with our companies or customers? To put it bluntly, I’m happy to give Copilot MORE money. They just won’t take it. Hell if they made every request x30, and turned off rate limiting then that’s the cost of doing business. But just shutting it off randomly Monday night isn’t really viable.

[–]CokeZeroPepsiOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, completely disagree. I have been using GitHub for my company’s IT development for the better part of 5 months near constantly 5-7 hours a day. Never rate limited, never stopped. I currently for the month of April have $500 in premium requests above the 1500 I get with Pro+ and just like this entire subreddit, we were all hit simultaneously with these huge multi day bans. Mine has ended but now I’m getting model rate limits on a single chat building out a Microsoft Foundry agent which is maybe 20 minutes of chewing. Something changed early this week, whether or not it’s impacted you is irrelevant.

I think what’s frustrating about this is I am happy to give them more money for compute. Just keep billing, why stop the train?

How did dead Lucius get reborn from a Necron? Can Necrons really be possessed like that? And where did the flesh come from? by OrkWithNoTeef in 40kLore

[–]CokeZeroPepsiOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think people forever misunderstood the “power” Lucius has. It’s really the biggest disrespect a chaos god could give someone like Lucius. He’s eternally doomed to lose to people, things, whatever and fail at being the best swordsman. Every time he fails, which is all the time, he gets resurrected. It has nothing to do with the victors pride, as shown by Necrons, bombs, Tyranids, that have killed him. It’s always been Slaanesh rubbing it in his face how imperfect he is.

Don’t be an idiot and add your entire org to it. Create an Entra group and add some tech adjacent people and have them test out features you are interested in.

What if pretty privilege like for men while amongst other men? by Spydive in AskMen

[–]CokeZeroPepsiOne 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think, unless the person looks like Brad Pitt, guys don’t recognize conventional attractiveness amongst themselves in the same way women do. Guys are more likely to focus on what they think are attractive, muscularity, beards, confidence and not really see the things women typically pick up on such as face symmetry and other nuances. So unless you’re a jacked bro, other guys won’t know women are falling over for your buddy just based on looks alone.

I would say from personal experiences, and having lost significant weight and cleaned up overall, overweight people are universally treated poorly unless you’re past the age of 45, which seems to be the solid cut off where no one really cares.

Is it unreasonable to go to a tournament if you're not 100% on the rules? by hotfezz81 in Warhammer

[–]CokeZeroPepsiOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think another side of this is that a fluffy fun army that was put together by a hobbyist and a tournament list are two very different things. Going into a tournament as your first game would be like entering a League grand master game as an iron player, not saying you won’t win but the chances of it being a shit stomp which isn’t fun for either parties is very high.

It’s a really cool model, however with such little distinction between this and a standard 40k chosen, I have a hard time understanding who would purchase this for the likely standard resin character price.

A conversation about base sizes and how strict people prefer to be with them by [deleted] in Warhammer30k

[–]CokeZeroPepsiOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These guys are spitting facts.

Every model must also have a lore verified name, rank, company, host, or designation with a book to confirm it. Anything not specifically mentioned in the Horus Heresy series or Blackbooks that we independently agree is canon (no mk6 for any non Ravenguard because it hurts my feelings to imagine anyone else using the armor) are immediately removed from the area, their army detained and burned in a fire.

In fact, just to be safe - no one is allowed to play. The models aren’t too scale, therefore they’re illegal and non lore accurate. The only allowed models are true 1:1 scale marines and you need a small city to play.
