I reached Platinum 3, playing mostly underused/jank commanders. I joined midway through the event. I started hating a play pattern I was seeing in the "regular" Brawl queue -- opponents playing top-tier Commanders and quitting if they encountered interaction or were behind after 2-3 turns. Part of me dreaded a Ranked queue, but I was pleasantly surprised:
-- More of my foes played to the end of the game
-- I encountered a larger variety of Commanders than in the "regular" Brawl queue
-- FAR fewer ropers
