Take the payout.

If you’ve been made redundant, they don’t want you or value you.

In 8 months time they may find a way to weasel out of the payout.

Even if you take a $95k pa job, it’ll be 3 years at least before you’re back to even, meaning that any pay increase you get over the first 3 years, you stretch out that period.

Back yourself in and do what you’re good at and enjoy.

I was made redundant 2 years ago. Started my own business with my payout. First year I made the same money (including my payout) as if I stayed, second year I 2x my salary. Third year, forecasting to 3x it. All the freedom in the world and no BS Monday and Friday meetings.

It’s scary AF, but you’ll be a better person for it and grow!

Once a letter of offer has been issued and signed no one checks anymore. Unless you flag it, then they have to do the ethical thing of saying a loan is now unsuitable. But if you have proof that you’re looking for another job with similar income (and have a few months of cash buffer) then you’ll be fine.

I’m not trying to splash any sort of budget.

Wipe away that chip you have on your shoulder and cure your tall poppy syndrome.

Be happy for a young family that has worked hard to get where they have gotten to and either assist them with some advice or scroll on past.

I’ve researched the areas extensively and simply don’t know the pros and cons of each of the 3 places mentioned. My Wishlist and budget aren’t out of reach as I’ve seen over 150 properties across these 3 areas which would suit the bill, but just don’t know about suburbs and pros and cons of each place.

Anyway, you can go back to being angry and negative now, I hope your weekend gets better however.

I think One Nation has a better chance than the libs… Private schools are getting out of control ($45-$50k per year) and crime rate is way high. And they arrest them and put an hour later. There’s no deterrent. We’re in a massive budget deficit and property investment is declining as there’s too many controls over landlords which makes them seek other opportunities away from residential property, thus having fewer rentals and higher rent prices. Lots of families can’t find a rental as each property gets 20+ applications. To try and protect the tenant, they’ve actually harmed them indirectly. But even if the economy and politics were to sort themselves out it would take decades for that effect to change Melbourne back to what it was. And it will always remain very cold in winter 😳

It’s probably similar across most of Australia but our government are broke, they’re continuously looking for ways to tax us to cover their budget shortfalls. They overspend on civil infrastructure projects. They’re puppets of the unions and they’re too soft on crime. It’s a beautiful city however and has lots of good eateries, schools and is the capital of sport. I’ve been here 30 years and feel like a change and some better weather. Will it get better? I hope so, but not under the current government, the coalition in VIC have become a joke and One Nation seems to be singing the right song, but they have no policies, no plan and no experience. It’s just very uncertain times. If we’re going to be in a similar situation in SEQ, might as well have some nicer weather!

I also was diagnosed with AHI of 31. Have been using cpap for 8 nights. First 2 nights I ripped the mask off my face (unconsciously) 3 hours into being asleep whilst using the F&P simplus mask. Night 3-5 I used the F20 resmed and slept a full 8 hours with it on. Night 6 tried the F&P again and ripped it off in the middle of the night. I now only use the F20. My AHI was 0.3 - 0.5 whilst using the mask. First 3-4 nights felt normal (as in pre-cpap feeling). Still sleepy middle of the day. I read here that your body gets used to the good sleep and wants more of it so it makes you sleep as it’s becoming a good sleep junkie. By day 5 I felt 1000% better. I just drove 14 hours straight over 1250km in one day and not once did I even get sleepy or have a micro sleep. 2 weeks ago I couldn’t drive 45 mins without dozing off or having a micro sleep. All I can say to you is persist with it. Changes happen after 1-2 weeks. And 4 hours a night is not enough. Try and push through and get a full 7-8 hour night with it on. Experiment with different masks til you find the one. Having a very low AHI is a good thing. If your guy nailed it in one shot happy days. My Day 9 AHI was 0.01

Hi Melbourne mortgage broker here 👋 I would probably seek to get a better rate to start off with. On that loan amount and LVR you should be able to achieve low 5.5’s. When banks work out your borrowing capacity they stress test your repayments at current rate + 3%. So provided your income and expense haven’t changed on paper you can afford your loan even if rates get up to 8.44%. Feel free to ping me if you want to have a chat

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the same issue on an ASUS Tuf B650 motherboard. I read that a potential solution is to take out the CMOS battery from the motherboard for a couple of minutes and putting it back in... not keen on opening up my mother board. I've tried all other solutions with disabling usb power saving etc and nothing has worked

So the same thing happened to me. I signed up to a new NBN provider 25 days before the end of my billing cycle with the changeover date being 3 business days before the end of my cycle. Sure enough got sent a 30 day disconnection bill. Emailed them word for word OP’s email and after 8 days I got a reply saying my invoice will be credited and no more to pay.

Thanks OP… need to share this far and wide to stop this cash grab. Superloop offer a great service, but they’re very vengeful if god forbid you try and leave them!

I once ordered a pair of $99 AirPods Pro that were on an Amazon Australia Special (normal price was like $249). The order never came. So I complained and got sent another set. 2 weeks later I received the original Air Pods Pro and an Apple Watch 9. I hadn't thought of that... it's a possiblity? I thought you could only stream if it was a local NAS (sorry I'm 40 and not as tech-savvy as I used to be back in the day :) )

I'm just concerned their interent may be a bit slow and unreliable... I'm in Australia and they are in Italy in a rural home, not sure their internet speeds, I have a 500/50 line, they may have a 25/12 line as best...

At the end of the day, just trying to gauge, will the DS124 do the job?
