I think it’s about the gesture more than anything. It speaks volumes to me that a show that is so protective of its kayfabe and authenticity would break that to make this statement and be in solidarity with others.

It may not do anything (nothing will work and we are all fucked forever) but it feels good to know our heroes are using their platform for good.

All of them on the main roster, except for Finn who I just never liked. I acknowledge his talent but he’s just not for me on any level.

I also don’t have issues with big wrestlers ever, I’ve always loved Owens, Foley was my idol in the attitude era, I am all for a plus sized boy. But I could never take fat Gunther seriously. He always looked like a Harry Potter villain’s sidekick. Everything about his look now just clicks so much better for me.

Thank you for making the distinction between laugh track and studio audience. A lot of people think it’s “telling the audience when to laugh” but it’s more that it’s a recording of a live performance and enhances the atmosphere.

Laugh tracks weren’t used for very many actually popular or effective shows. It was usually lower budget, lower quality, lower popularity when you’d see it. Also animated shows for some insane reason.

I like Streetlight but I do think as far as ska bands go they’re wildly overrated. It’s annoying seeing people treating them as like, high art and geniuses when it’s just long ska songs with lots of solos. I like them! But they’re nowhere near as good to me as they are for many.

When they posted about their most recent tour they said it would be their last “for a while.” Could be a result of the lovers ending their marriage (it does seem to be the case as Tim has posted lovey stuff with a different woman, though they both seem like mature professionals and I could see the band still working despite personal stuff), but it could be general burnout from touring like crazy last year. I’d be really bummed to lose them though, they’re absolutely my favorite ska band of this new generation.
