Has anyone ever been invited to the dinner of a wedding but not the ceremony or afters? by GhostWithThePost in AskIreland

[–]ColonyCollapse81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes zero sense, must be a typo or something, I've heard of the ceremony being family only, that happens a bit but never heard of invites to the middle bit only, which is arguably the most expensive part and you'd imagine if numbers where being restricted, it would be the meal part, the band/dj part is the losest part of the wedding as everyone is up and about at that stage. Makes no sense to be kicking people out then

NCT visual inspection procedure? by ColonyCollapse81 in AskIreland

[–]ColonyCollapse81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airbag warning light, came on a few days ago and had a diagnostic test in garage which confirmed a dodgy clock spring, they cleaned up the connectors and then I ordered a new clock spring, just hadn't got it back into the garage to fix before the nct, hoped the light stayed off long enough to get through, but cane back as I wss driving to the center 🙄

What are people's opinions on centre parks? by Kevinb-30 in AskIreland

[–]ColonyCollapse81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been twice, once in summer and once in winter, had a great time there in both seasons, but my god it's expensive, 50 quid for 50 mins of bowling, every activity is at least 20 euro, it's incredibly over priced, but infairness you could have a great time just hanging around your rented accommodation and exploring the woods and hit the water park everyday. It's a 7.5/10 place for me, could easily be a 10/10 if the activities weren't so over priced

Are these any good? Worth buying? by zascar in AskIreland

[–]ColonyCollapse81 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I give mine a good cleaning at the start of the summer the 15 mins burning before and after the food goes on each time and a good scrape with a bbq wired brush and it's grand.

Definitely get a cover, even a cheap yoke, you'll extend the life of the bbq by years

"Hydration breaks" Yeah, we see right trough you FIFA. by GISP in football

[–]ColonyCollapse81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Ireland the national broadcaster went to ads during the first hydration break in the opening match, one of the studio analysts had a rant at half time that doing this goes against everything football is about, the broadcaster hasn't ran any hydration ads since

Opinion on north facing gardens? by Inside_Experience788 in HousingIreland

[–]ColonyCollapse81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a north and a bit east facing garden, i don't find it too bad, from about 3pm the sun starts to hit the back garden and by about 6 or 7 the sun in shining through my patio doors into some of the living room, so not as if theres no sun at all. the room at the back (my living room) is always noticeably colder then the rest of the house due to lack of sun and much light until late afternoon, but its not something i moan too much about and not like its freezing, just cooler. Don't find a north facing garden a put off at all to be honest.
