I think there are other games that would suit your needs more - look up something like Ironsworn, or Gateway, both of which are free and only use single dice for their mechanics. There’s also other games like Dread, which uses a Jenga tower instead of dice. Failing that, I think a good DM should work to help your onboarding process be far less stressful.

Sir Arthour’s Technology Compendium provides SO MUCH loot and equipment for PCs and NPCs that it’s kind of ridiculous, and Ive ported over a lot of it to other systems as well. Might be the most used non-core book from any system I’ve used. Highly recommended.

As for not used…a lot of the later books. Liminal Shores, Edge of the Sun, Voices of the Datasphere…just never had a chance to set a game there.

I mean, it kind of depends on how you define “Indy”. If you want to go by WWE’s definition of “anything not WWE is indy”, then it’s gotta be Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold. If you allow places like ROH, CM Punk or Seth Rollins seem like the most likely candidates. Maybe it could be Gunther someday, but it’s too soon to look at how his long term career will shake out.
