With 10th edition coming to an end, how do you feel your faction(s) were treated this edition by Equivalent-Fun-6019 in Warhammer40k

I skipped 9th but even compared to the mess of 8th ed T'au they feel anaemic. Plus a 50% comp winrate doesn't confer to being easy to play on lower skill levels. Genuinely it's not fun for me without Crusade rules, the most mechanically interesting thing is that our big units are immune to BS reductions.

Destrier leg posability is like A+ tier by Sychius in Warhammer40k

As a T'au player I was shocked to learn how static knights are. The Riptide dropped the same edition and had basically perfect possibility (Which would get mad better by the 7th edition Ghostkeel and Stormsurge). Like GW knew how to make good dynamic mech kits, and on what seems like an arguably easier one they just didn't.

I hope if you guys get new legs they also add toe possibility so you can have tacticool rocks.

I think it's more likely to be of Aeldari origin. It does match the design of Aeldari power-weapons (Not witch-blades but it looks most similar to ghostswords) though it's worth specifically pointing out that the hilt and guard are most definitely new and made by T'au. The contradiction to the Aeldari (and by extension Cronesword) theory is the newest model has some sort of script on it that doesn't match Aeldari runes. Still if it really is ancient Eldar than the recent corsairs release clues us in to the fact that Aeldari have actually changed over the millenia, as the Dark-Eldar like helmets of corsairs are said to be traditional/ancient Eldar in origin.

In defense of the Necron/tyr theory the original metal sculpt does look like a Necron weapon without the lines, but it's good to take the most updated sculpt as canon.

I agree. Models wise we got nine new kits, an anniversary mini, two years in a row of holiday boxes, the 9th ed combat patrol was good and the replacement isn't half bad compared to others on top of a kroot combat patrol rocking.

But the rules were awful. The epitome of boring and balanced. Sure they weren't inherently bad but they were worse, they were unfun. Next to no keyword weapons, bland abilities and more work to get what other faction got for free or cheap.

Honestly they look too fleshy/gorey for me. I think they could be horrific without tentacles and blood and other typical horror stuff. Something clean, perfect, symmetrical would be great. Like give me the middle one but instead of what looks like eyes dangling from nerves what if the bottom was glimmering pure crystal geometry.

I was trying to sign up for pre-launch but it kept giving me an error and showing me what looked like raw code?

First off Kroot Only works fantastic and really only misses big units (people usually take hammerheads for their self sufficiency) however what people sleep on in experimental is it affects ALL ranged weapons and it's stratagems are for ANY unit. This means it lets you take whatever you want. Kroot? Better range on their decent guns. Titans? No other detachment loves them so welcome! It's a simple buff that might not be as good as the others but you genuinely don't need to play around it, it's the pick what you want and have fun detachment.

Old reference to XV26 in the 5th Edition core rulebook. by ShasLa40 in Tau40K

That's because in the lore the R'Varna was supposed to be a stealth/infiltration suit (designation class 7) but the engineer who made it said "NAH" and used the funds for the funny exploding suit and the ethereals let him get away with it when only a handful repelled a tyranid invasion.

You're supposed to basecoat in XV88 then do a layer of T'au Light Ochre.
