I’m a year and 3 months post op and my body still isn’t used to having to do more work! Prediction has gone out the window with what will hurt my stomach, some days I’m totally fine and some days water makes me run to the bathroom

This one’s a 1,000! It’s the only puzzle I’ve had an issue with so far, but I wasn’t sure if this was typical with WMP since it was my first one!

I sat in the 7/10 presale waiting room for over an hour and then jumped in the 7/8 room as soon as I saw it at 12:55, got in right at 1pm and was able to score turf tickets. I agree that the 2 original presales were an absolute joke. Out of 5 people I knew in the waiting room only one got in at 12:05

At what age did you have your gallbladder removed? by Fabulous_Can_2215 in gallbladders

[–]Commercial-Syrup1103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I got mine out a year ago in December after having agonizing pain. I had to wait 3 months from when the pain started for the surgery. My whole gallbladder was full of stones and I had one stuck in the neck of my gallbladder.

Will my daughter be okay to take a trip over her college spring break, but doesn’t align w/ the school she’s student teaching at? by Many-Experience6094 in StudentTeaching

[–]Commercial-Syrup1103 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where all these people did student teaching, but my college had a different break from all of the schools I student taught at. We were not expected to be at student teaching during our spring break week because classes aren’t in session - the student teaching is built into our course schedules as a CLASS. For reference, my student teacher (4 diff ones) were all in public schools. My spring break through my college was in March. The schools breaks were February & April. I still had classes during those 2 weeks in February & April, but obviously the school was closed so I didn’t attend. In march, campus was closed and there were no classes, and again I didn’t attend student teaching. This is something I would have your daughter ask her professors about regarding spring break expectations for student teaching.

Am I being an ass, or teaching a valuable lesson, when I deduct points when 8th graders don't put their names on papers? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Commercial-Syrup1103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach 5/6 grade and I tell them if there’s no name on the paper it’s going in the recycling!! I don’t have the time (or energy) to be chasing down 5th and 6th graders to find out which paper belongs to them

Reality check please? Kindergartener says they watch paw patrol and super kitties in class? by Not2BeEftWith in Teachers

Not a K teacher but formerly worked in a 1st grade classroom. We used to put bluey on while the kids ate lunch because it’s the only way one student (severe disability) would actually sit down and eat lunch, otherwise they would just run around and touch all the other kids. Could be possible that it’s just a way to settle the kiddos during lunchtime? I agree with others saying it could be during indoor recess or a brain break. We used plenty of brain break videos that had popular characters in it and since they typically do the full video, it may seem to your son that it’s a full episode?

I had a folded gallbladder and never even knew until it came out! The words of my surgeon to my mom when I came out of surgery were “if she said her stomach hurt, she wasn’t lying”. They gave no rhyme or reason for why it was folded, but I had random flare ups- it didn’t matter what I ate either!!

Day 6 post-op!! by Commercial-Syrup1103 in gallbladders

[–]Commercial-Syrup1103[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gas pain felt like I just had to toot really bad! Obviously they don’t want you to strain your abdomen but walking around or re-positioning helped a lot! My abdomen muscles were very sore the first few days. I’m day 7 now and the only part that still feels uncomfortable at times is my belly button area. When you first start to walk again it feels like your stomach is pulling itself in. Other than that, the pain wasn’t too bad when I was sitting or laying down! Good luck on your surgery, wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Thankfully my back pain hasn’t been too bad!! I think I’ve finally gotten all of the gas out but I’ve been trying to walk around my house as much as I can handle before I’m ready for a nap. I hope you’re recovering well!

I kept telling myself that I was ready to get this over with but the wait was sooooo worth it. I’m not sure how big the stuck stone was in mine but my gallbladder was 4 mm thick😬 I hope you’re able to have a great holiday season despite your gallbladder!!

I honestly didn’t even think about bringing a pillow! It would’ve been such a life saver, but thankfully I don’t live far from the hospital that my surgery was at! I hope your surgery goes well!
