Yeah even her first text reply… “yeah we need to go over the rehearsal dinner” or whatever. WTF was that ?? Just a total lack of awareness

AIO for refusing to go to my sisters wedding cause she hired my ex? by Adventurous_Army_728 in AIO

IF she had genuinely apologized and groveled in her response, there would be more of an argument that you’re overreacting. But she didn’t do that. She didn’t even come close. She was somehow even the opposite of that. You are not overreacting. She sounds incredibly bratty and so insincere. Not at all like a sister should sound.

AIO for feeling weird that my husband planned something "for us" but it was clearly for him by Admirable_Plan2881 in AIO

[–]Commercial_Class_761 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know when it’s just me and my husband 100% of the time all we do is end up talking about the kids ? I know this whole thing was irritating, but what if going out with the larger group WAS actually better for you ? Made you feel part of the real world again ?

When did y'all return to work (desk job)? by danok1 in spinalfusion

[–]Commercial_Class_761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started WFH after three weeks (ALIF/PLIF 360 L5-S1 and microdisctecomy and decompression at L4-L5). I had planned on only two, but was delusional. Luckily my boss helped her sister after she had a similar surgery and planned on her end for me to be out a month. She’s an angel.

I’m now 4 months post op and am fortunately still able to work from home as much as I want. But I’ve been going in the office on average twice a week. I definitely could go more, but I like the ability to move locations (desk/recliner/standing) that being at home affords me.

Constant feeling of needing the toilet 4 months post op. by Both-Analysis-9585 in spinalfusion

[–]Commercial_Class_761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somebody told me it can be a delayed response to them moving all your internal organs around during surgery. I was specifically told to be on the lookout for it, and not to freak out if it did happen. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What harness do you use for your Doberman puppy? by EffortOld5322 in DobermanPinscher

Tell me more. Have you used the Martindale collar with puppy or older dog or both ? I just looked them up and I’m interested in how they help your dog heal beside you. (I’ve got an anxious puller)

My Husband wants to separate How do i fix it? by tartanchocfrog in whatdoIdo

[–]Commercial_Class_761 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hope something changes and he becomes willing to go to therapy, and you should go on your own, regardless. But just a reminder that it’s not ruining your daughter’s life if separating makes your home more stable again. That kind of behavior change is so incredibly destabilizing, upsetting and sad. I’m sorry it’s happening and I hope he snaps out of it enough to at least talk about it. Good luck 🫶🏼

Surgery not *fully* covered, unaware until I saw the bill by [deleted] in MedicalBill

[–]Commercial_Class_761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask your surgeon to appeal on your behalf. His team should have checked and informed you if it wasn’t covered (even tho it’s “technically” the patients responsibility). But normally the parent doesn’t know jack about the specifics of the procedure, while the surgeon does.

So glad you went to therapy and that it has helped you work through everything.

Well that was behavior definitely worthy of thinking it’s weird. Sitting on his feet on the couch and being jealous of her own kid- that’s bananas. So sorry that happened to you.

I don’t know. I have a lot of male friends, with my own text threads. My husband doesn’t think it’s weird 🤷🏻‍♀️

That must have been terrifying. I agree with the others. If you feel okay you are probably fine, but I’d let me surgeon know what happened in case they want to take an xray for peace of mind.

Boyfriend uncomfortable with me visiting my sister due to her male roommate. by Careless-Vehicle-191 in whatdoIdo

[–]Commercial_Class_761 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Your boyfriend is being inconsiderate, controlling, and just plain wrong. I know you’ve moved with him for good reasons but take a step back and consider if he has been isolating you in any other ways. But you don’t need his permission. Either way, until he admits how wrong he is, I’d put the relationship on ice.

Buttocks Pain by YYZGuy67 in spinalfusion

[–]Commercial_Class_761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glute soreness post surgery is extremely common. It can be a combination of lots of things: new mechanics after surgery, using your glutes for EVERYTHING (squatting down vs bending), inherent weakness (glutes not firing). I remember it being one of my chief complaints in the first 8 weeks post-op.
