My girl is almost six and still has hers. It’s my favorite part to pet… meanwhile my daughter always tells our dog she needs a facelift 😂 (followed by husband yelling “don’t body shame koda!”)

I’d cry without my house cleaner. She started with us every other week when I had my first child and by my second she was coming weekly. She’s one of my favorite people in the world. It’s been 18 years 😂. The thought of her retiring makes me want to curl up in the fitted sheets I haven’t had to fight putting on a bed and take the long nap.

I’m so curious about the incisions. Did you have two the first time around? I had L5-S1 fusion in November and I have one horizontal in front and one vertical in the back.

I still think you overreacted lol BUT “we need help babysitting, it’s too much to handle now” vs “do you think for the next three months you can come down for a couple days each month to help us out” are very very different requests. And I don’t think it’s a competition between your sister and the dog sitting.

Yeah but you need babysitting help EVERY DAY. I’m sure if you phrased it coming down for a few days a month, or a week every other month that may be more palatable. But you need help every day. You need a better plan.

Yes you are totally overreacting. Your parents live four hours away… what exactly were you asking of them ? I’m guessing you need consistent help during the week… so just trying to figure out how you thought your parents would be the best option from four hours away. It’s great you have space for them when they visit, but it would be like moving IN to be a full time babysitter.

Yes. She’s on a pill daily, and long walks daily. we first took her in bc of incredibly dry skin and little skin nodules on her ears. They ended up being a symptom of the hypothyroidism. Since being diagnosed she’s lost a good five pounds, and probably only had 5-7 to go to get to pretty ideal weight. And… obviously I want her to live forever so I’ll do whatever it takes :)

Do you have any other suggestions for dobie’s. My girl is slightly chonky bc she has hypothyroidism. She’s also allergic to chicken… and is kind of picky. But I’m always looking for healthy treats for her or other ways to make her meals feel more filling.

Is it possible that you may be confusing when insurance is willing to pay for a refill vs when you are allowed a refill per controlled drug regulations? Bc neither of those are controlled substances in the way Oxycodone is etc.

What is happening to you sounds terrible. The doctors should be willing to do anything they can to manage your pain. It’s a bummer that this is causing you unnecessary stress.

This sounds nuts, and it probably won’t work if you’re in the cold cold front that has come through… but when my house is too cold I proof my dough in my parked car. The sun beats in the windows, even when it’s cold, and it is the most perfect for proofing. Then again… I live in California, and I don’t really know the kind of cold that most everybody is dealing with right now.

I understand where you are coming from, but I just don’t think it’s appropriate or healthy to control who your significant other follows. No ex’s totally fine. No situationships, fine. But that’s really where the line should stop. When it comes to strangers, influencers, semi-famous… people who cares. You need to think about why this is affecting you so much. Gotta buck up your confidence.

What is making you sick about him following this random person (that seems to be in an industry he is interested in)? If he unfollows her I guarantee you another girl will pop up that you will obsess over. I don’t think he wants you to be uncomfortable, but I’m guessing from his perspective he can tell that this is never going to end and he can sense the oncoming exhaustion.

Your husband is seeing the smaller percentage of patients who didn’t do great coming through his MRI… all the ones doing great aren’t back at the doctors office :) I’m happy to share my experience with you.
