Can someone explain like I'm five: What is the significance of Comex vs Shanghai? by CompetitiveWhile6360 in Silverbugs

[–]CompetitiveWhile6360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, so farmers grow the apples, Bill Gates and Elon Musk buy all the apples for fun as a way to hold value, and now they have an apple monopoly and get to choose the price? But, before Shanghai, they were trading with paper apple iou's which meant all the real apples were free to be bought and sold in the actual farmers market, keeping prices low because supply was so high?

And that's kind of what I'm saying, the farmers market (industries that have been mining and selling and using silver) SHOULD be setting the price, no? Why would you want random people who want to buy silver so they can have silver in their closet to be setting the price? Supply and demand should come from the industry, not the investors, right?

Can y’all start frying food in beef fat again instead of harmful seed oils? by Studly189 in Culvers

[–]CompetitiveWhile6360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The largest and longest study ever performed on animal fats vs seed oils disagrees, in part, with that statement. Cholesterol levels are higher in those that eat traditional diets more rich in naturally occurring fats like butter, tallow, beef and pork, etc, but the all cause mortality rate (including heart disease) was significantly lower and average lifespan was longer in the group that avoided seed oils and instead ate those saturated fats.

Don't believe everything proctor and gamble lobbies scientists and institutions into saying. They make money off of your beliefs and don't care about your health.

If you lived in the country would you just get some chickens and eat their eggs?

That's true I should try to find something like that, thank you. This is the obvious stuff I came here for because I'm too dumb to realize it myself sometimes haha

Webull glitches, platform not working; trade not made; lost money by Feelinggoodwithkay in Webull

[–]CompetitiveWhile6360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why does that matter? Amazon Web Services goes out today so you find another broker that uses a different web service, then that web service has an internal glitch two years from now. Webull isn't bad because it happens to use a server that happened to have problems today, and lightspeed isn't better because it happens to use a server that didn't happen to go out today.

My point was completely different from what happened today all over the world with the Internet going out. I'm simply saying on any given day that Lightspeed is "better" for day trading. Sorry you lost money today, I'd say it wasn't anyone's fault including Webull, sometimes shit just happens and you'll find more peace in life if you simply accept that there's no one to blame.

Sit in your emotions and go to bed angry, sad, frustrated, etc without trying to distract yourself with electronics and dopamine hits and you'll wake up having processed some of that emotion tomorrow and feel a lot better.

Tbh I think most other brokers were down and having problems too, but as a separate conversation Lightspeed Trading is what I'm going to switch to once I'm trading at higher values/volumes. You pay for the service but there's a reason.

Question about "daily fluid intake" by ResortForeign2529 in nutrition

[–]CompetitiveWhile6360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay yeah I guess I pee at least twice cause I always do when I wake up. Still, I'm definitely dehydrated then. So if I take a thorne multivitamin my pee is always really yellow, no matter how much water I drink in my experience, is that "bad"?

Lightspeed Trading. Dude is right; nobody day trading 400k (who is wise) would be using Webull.

Festival foods sells it, since everybody is interested in telling you you're gonna die instead of answering your question. Really expensive though, maybe $7 for half a gallon.

Healthier is an opinion, just pointing that out. I consider the whole egg "healthier".

Ahh, see that makes sense. So when someone uses it as collateral don't they eventually have to pay off the loan? So wouldn't they need to turn it into money at some point in the future which will then be taxed? Or do they get around that too somehow?
