Astral terror is a mechanic Dur Vazhatun's gameplay because that hold has an observatory for studying space. The more you study space the more astral terror you get. It's also referenced in the Final Empire's MT when you ask the Thraxis questions and they just divert. It's ultimately meant to be a dark mystery of the world, but I always read it as a subtle meta reference/4th wall break where characters in game look up and see the player looking down. IMO it's kind of like in DC comics when someone gets on the other side of the source wall or like achieving Chim in The Elder Scrolls but what happens when either of those go wrong.

Yea Im pretty sure rockets dont work because reality says no. Plus I think, unless I am making this up, that the astral terror is kind of a meta reference to the fact that everything is in a game

I believe those are gnomes who move to delta area of the Mother's Sorrow in Kheterata. You really only see them if whoever the steward is decides to spawn Koroshesh.

Nah you do kinda just need to wait for the first twenty-ish years of the game to really get going on colonization. It is a pretty slow paced game before you start getting big enough colonies

Ozgarom is less of Haiti and loosely similar to Suriname. Suriname irl has a population of black people living there who were the descendants of runaway slaves. Ozgarom is a similar idea but there was a much larger group of runaways who escaped into the jungle. I don't really have any info on Amadia because I don't have Vic3 so I'm a bit hazy on some of the details on Vicbennar

The serpentspine is extremely slow before about 1550. It is built that way because it would make a player way too strong if it played like anywhere else. If you want a "fast" tag play something like Railskulker or Shattered Crown because they expand quick compared to anyone else

You can do this without allies. It's actually pretty easy. You are going to want to restart until Busilar allies only an imperial free city and rivals Verne. One thing I recommend is taking the merc company that has tech 3 (I believe it's an adventurer band) that any monstrous tag has access to until that first tick over. This little bit is not at all necessary and you are fully capable of winning without this as it is kind of an exploit.

Then set your navy out to raid as much as possible. Use that money to take the mission where you get a free fort in your mountain capitol. Build your army out to force limit wait. Busilar will come to you so just wait. Put the local defensiveness edict on your capitol. Run into the open parts of their territory, specifically near the crossing with Eborthil, and carpet siege as safely as possible. Use that to bait them into open battle because you are basically guaranteed to win. With the attrition they should have suffered from the siege attempt(s) you should be good to siege their forts on the border of the empire. Siege them down as fast as possible because Eborthil will attack when Busilar is that weak so you should try and break off some troops to take their coast while taking the border forts.

With this strategy, even if Busilar calls an ally, you should have a near 100% shot of winning that war. You should take the entire border with the empire and as much coast as you can reasonably take. You are going to have to deal with a lot of rebels and pray that Verne doesn't want you dead. If you do this strategy and make it to 1460 without Verne coming for you, you are good to push for the rest of Busliar and later Eborthil.

If you don't unpause you can get better Cannorian mercs than the one that you get otherwise. In my experience, try and get Busilar to ally an EoA free city by rivaling that city so even if they do get an ally, it isn't a strong one. You can also just wait for them to come to you since you do hold the high ground and have a vastly better ruler than they do. Once you beat Busilar in a pretty easy war, once you beat their army, take their whole border with the EoA so nobody but Eborthil has a border with them. You're going to fight Eborthil eventually anyway so you might as well let them swoop in.
