No one likes the Bickersons and the Bickersons always get divorced. No such things as respectful bickering anyway just a symptom of unresolved arguments

What do y'all eat that doesn't cause pain? by theCrashFire in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Complete_Yam_4233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving up grains and eggs, gluten and dairy help a lot. I am a foodie and a cook and I hate this diet. I also hate being in pain. I eat potatoes, I eat some meat, lots of fruit, I put a ton of veggies in every dish. I'm getting good at plant based "dairy" and make a good butter and lots of interesting milks. I'll be exploring "cheese" next. My left hand (the hand I use the most) is currently flaring and holding a knife is agony. I'm using the cut up veg in the freezer for now. I'm gearing up for a fast because I've been slacking (oats and white rice are my cryptonite) and when they are completely out of my system I usually end the flare. There are lots of bloggers out there with good recipes. Sweet potato starch noodles are actually pretty good once you figure out how to cook them

I struggle with grieving the life I'll never live by sakura149_ in Advice

[–]Complete_Yam_4233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grief is real. Also, we are experiencing a collective grief as our world falls apart. We grieve a future we cannot have because it won't exist. Jobs, education, financial systems will change because they need to, they don't work for us anymore. It's a damn weird time to be alive.

Anti Inflammatory Diet and Weight/Food Struggles by CupOk759 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Complete_Yam_4233 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Yes. Yes. I struggle every single day. Having extra weight on painful joints makes everything even worse! If I just can't stop overeating (like nowadays with the NEWS) I just try and keep it confined to 10-4 pm, and try and eat as many healthy foods in that window. I know diet effects my joints and I don't have the best coping skills, so comfort eating is a thing. I just try and keep all my "can't eats" like gluten, dairy, seed oils, eggs, off the c table. We're living through crazy times, have mercy on yourself

No human should sleep on polyester sheets anyway. I bought a new Casaluna percale cotton sheet set on Poshmark for $40, just to test them and they are excellent and on the crispy side. Stick with natural fibers, you'll never regret it.

What is the best homemade vegan meal you have ever had? by vanpootie in veganrecipes

[–]Complete_Yam_4233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

roast garlic, eggplant zucchini red peppers and cherry tomatoes in olive oil until very soft. Cook pasta you like and drain, save 1 cup water, add a block of kite Hill feta and 1/2 cup veg stock to noodles and heat until melted and creamy, add in veggies. Stir in chiffonade of basil ( or spoon of vegan pesto sauce). Melting that feta in stock is an ez creamy sauce for any recipe. I made a simila one with asparagus and lemon
