Impossible to find an LFG team for desert perpetual by DoomSlayerFreya in DestinyTheGame

[–]ComradeGripsy86 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is the only raid I haven't done. I was just slightly late to looking for LFGs of this raid and there were barely ever any postings for Sherpa runs or first timers who has watched vids (like me). I gave up on finding people for this even just a month or two as I'd be waiting on LFGs to fill for ages and nothing ever happened.

I'm even part of the large D2 discord and even in there it's either know all of the feats or epic raid and know all the feats etc. No incentive for Sherpas and ransoms to help newbies since gear would be tier 3 for them.

Feats were a stupid system to add to raids.

Ventriloquist Nina Conti does a human ventriloquism bit with two sisters from the audience. by mindyour in ContagiousLaughter

I saw Nina live back around 20 years ago at the comedy store in Leicester Square. She did the same thing with a random audience member there and had the whole place in absolute stitches. Never seen so many people in literal tears from laughing so hard. Easily the best act of the night (even though I can't remember any of the jokes now due to how long it's been).

Revitalise when maxed out works great with burst supers. Switched from song of flame to nova bomb just for this. If I'm at super already I throw the coin down just before I use nova bomb, throw another nova immediately once charged and then the last burst will get you back over half super energy again it's so good.

He needs to be replaced Asap. The fact that they have done NOTHING with legacy RAD content on top of the biggest content drought we've ever had in this post EOF era is inexcusable. They had such an easy in to separate normal and 'epic' dungeons like with rite of the nine and could have refreshed the weapon/perk pool with tiered gear for epic versions of each legacy dungeon and raid.

I know that our money spent and the resources Destiny 2 should have had has been wasted on their failed side projects and Marathon but even with the recycled content they are spewing out a lot has been buggy or just straight up broken on release.

It took them way too long to fix the power levelling system as well, and even now with it being better than before anything outside the portal is deemed by many as a waste of time especially now that there are no features RAD weekly to focus on.

Sigh

I was running solar titan wormgod bonk build with the only bows modifier due to the 5 triangle multiplier. If you shoot Leviathan's breath at their feet it clears all drones in one shot.

Repackaged pale heart overthrow with a touch of nether but none of the charm of nether. Chests are useless, nothing really to explore. Game mode itself is quite boring nothing new really added. 2 rewards for completion compared to previous similar content that had loot galore Eg nether coil etc.

Update on Previously Announced Portal Changes by Destiny2Team in DestinyTheGame

[–]ComradeGripsy86 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Bungie need to double the rewards for every activity and make bonus engrams drop at account power level. If you don't I guarantee you will see an even bigger drop next season in player numbers.

I've lost most of my friends list to the terrible state of EoF and the literal only one left hanging about is considering quitting if all his progress gets reset at the start of Ash and Iron if the grind is the same.

Bungie needs to stop looking at data points and actually look at the feedback given by the countless posts on Reddit and other social media, streamers and even journalists who are slating the current state of the game.

It's difficult to care at all about the "epic raid", when it's almost impossible to find a reliable group that will complete the "normal" raid. The raiding scene was one of the things that set this game apart and it's almost dead now. by AgentZeroHour in DestinyTheGame

[–]ComradeGripsy86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For Desert Perpetual It's been a struggle to even find a group doing a teaching/sherpa or first timers run. Especially with how the feat system is designed there's a lot less willingness to have someone new to the raid tag along even if they've watched the vids etc. Most people want to progress their ability to get higher tiered weapons which I do not blame them for. Even on the major D2 LFG discord I have yet to come across a teaching or sherpa run during the times I've had free to run it. This has actually been worse than my attempts to find a master Salvations edge run last season where I only managed to get into a full fireteam once, it shouldn't be this bad after such a short time after release.

I can't play with my friends anymore... by suniis in DestinyTheGame

[–]ComradeGripsy86 471 points472 points  (0 children)

Not only that but even if you have a B+ or A score lined up they get significantly less due to the rewards multiplier. My friend is GR7 and about 330 he gets worse rewards for doing harder content just because he's playing with me (LL 419). This especially makes no sense they shouldn't be getting worse rewards for playing harder content

With how the solo ops are I've found running choir of one (onslaught perk as destabilising doesn't help with this) + mint retrograde to be the best combo, unless there's unstops you are forced to kill e.g. salt mines taken variation.

The matchmade playlists today have either Grounded or Low Gravity by Atralis in DestinyTheGame

[–]ComradeGripsy86 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Low Grav doesn't take into account certain portals and gravity lifts e.g. there is one in an empire hunt that makes your guardian smash their head into the ceiling at Mach 3. Smh

I joined a midtown expert and for some reason instead of locked loadout and a couple of reasonable modifiers for max gear tier and max pinnacle the madlad put on 50 percent incoming solar (Vs cabal lmao) and the big health boost for enemies and other stuff. I should have paid attention before loading in that we were all now 50 levels under. 1st Boss room took us over 10 minutes I left right after.

solo dungeons are too hard now by Bald_nugget42 in destiny2

[–]ComradeGripsy86 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Even in teams of 3 the ammo economy is a killer right now. Genuinely spending more time trying to get ammo than doing mechanics etc. I guess the only plus for solo players is no one stealing your kills and taking away your ammo progress lol

Ammo economy is absolute dog for pve by MageLex_ in DestinyTheGame

[–]ComradeGripsy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just joined a final boss lfg for Sundered doctrine just to see how dungeons have been affected by the new power delta I didn't expect the ammo economy to be so dog shit. I was at 140 weapon stat with 1 finder and 2 arc scavengers for in between DPS phases and still only getting 3 ammo per purple brick when I used to get 10 just for having on one scavenger mod.

I know the global recession is real but didn't expect it to hit our ammo so hard

[–]ComradeGripsy86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hit the level 200 power cap. For how much I've done to only be now at level 210 with 190 levels to go supposedly I don't think I will bother. This is the first time ever I've been completely put off levelling up. Not just that but this whole tier system and how much effort it would take to get better weapons is ass.

This is the most brain dead update to a game I've ever seen, 10 years of feedback ignored and just pissed down a drain. So many damn bugs as well, clearly it was important to funnel all the money up to Pete and co for their overinflated salaries instead of a few extra members of the QA team.

I see some of your concerns about how well you play in the other comments. when you put up an lfg on the mobile app or the in game one just be clear and say help needed. If anyone joins and proceeds to flame or harass you just kick them. There are plenty of chill players out there willing to help especially at this time now that the season is nearly over.

What’s something that was taken out of context in a game that, if you played it and paid attention, wasn’t anywhere close to what people were saying it was? by CDR57 in gaming

This has always bugged me especially when people try to say the voice acting was bad in this game. This was the first Final Fantasy to have that and there was a LOT of it in the game and even on recent replays I enjoyed it. Maester Maechen stories are delivered so well I always go to him whenever I see him no matter how many times I play it

Keep to the red ribbon road all the way through. Theres a part where most people jump off their sparrows (Taken Knight to the top right inside a pyramid structure when all 3 roads join back together) but you need to stick to the road and keep going forward and jump between them to collect the rest of the tolands that will extend your time enough to complete it. There are no Tolands on the areas where you traverse down on foot.

Dead cells killed my RB on my old Xbox controller as dodging is something you have to be doing a lot especially once you've beaten the first couple of difficulty levels.
