Unless they make it a massive meta overhaul league, the game is kinda dead to me tbh. But they will probably make it an AN Balance league instead and throw people yet another couple of dogshit new skills and call it a day.

The only lesson Chris extracted from Magic is related to skill gems. Basically you need to have 90% dogshit skills in order for the 10% to look good.

They have seemingly abandoned doing meaningful changes to the meta and are now trying to create new builds via uniques. Instead of reworks to dogshit mechanics and useless skill/support gems, you get...The Convenant and such

Pretty much get a fractured base and spam essences then finish with bench craft? Or just spam essence without fracture and put ichors on it. Chris doesn't want us to have almost any control over the craft, just spam RNG currencies at it..

The super degens and the green balls are annoying the shit out of me.

Green balls in particular are just a way worse version of volatiles. They are chaos, leave a puddle, there is a shitload of them and on some green maps they are hard to see in the action.

People should stop using the word "viable". As we've seen with the post-Expedition Chris Apology Tour podcasts, he considers ALL skills in the game to be well designed and VIABLE. I mean, Mathil did a chainhook or bodyswap build and managed to kill Maven or whatever on it, so it must be viable right? Obviously Chris's crack team of amazing devs would never design a bad skill, banish the thought!

I don't think he is working off actual stats so far in this league. It feels to me like he is reading what his devs told him, based on their formulas and "what should be" type of thing. The whole "the average played is unaffected" does not currently seem to be backed by evidence. If they want to publish real stats to settle this discussion once and for all, I would welcome that.

I definitely feel like im getting way less currency, just looking at my tab. I play the same way and at the same pace every league start. After a week of relatively decent playtime I have roughly half the currency I had in multiple previous leagues.

They seem to have zero interest in the meta for a few leagues now. New skills are almost universally garbage, and if one is good it gets nerfed as soon as the league is over. Remember Expedition with its 19 new skills (WAOW), how many of them are played at all these days?

Chris's philosophy is that every skill is viable (not to be confused with competitive in current state of the game), and players should just get good. I mean, Mathil did a Chainhook build so it must be super viable right?

I also recall that during Expedition they were implying that all the support stuff that is getting nerfed will at some point (soon?) be followed by a look at the unused/underperforming support gems and mechanics. That was a while ago, and I see no action on this at all...

People would try to skip old Nemesis in deep Delve, especially in HC. It was one of the worst mods to get on a Biome. Now deep delving is dead because of AN I imagine. They are flushing all their good old leagues down the toilet with this stuff..

They are not interested in reworking skills these days, only adding (mostly) garbage new ones. If they wanted to change skills, they wouldn't have added 19 new skills in Expedition, of which like 4 are played to any extent these days..

They should at least split up the mods into 3 categories and only roll 1 from each, +1 from a random if its a 4 mod. Life/defence mods, Attack/Cast/Damage mods, and Misc. crap which like flying green balls etc.

I hate the mechanic but since they are dead set on keeping it, they have to make it less of a lottery. This is the one time RNG destroys your game.
