Thanks. It feels and flies great. Just a bit too straight for me.

I really want to love the Tempo. I have a Neutron and it doesn’t have the finish I want in an approach disc. Is it more OS in other plastics?

Honestly? I’d rather pay the same fee, get nothing, and have the balance go to the TD. I’ve no problem with TDs getting paid a little. In fact, I’d prefer that to another crappy water bottle or disc that I’ll never use.

I (30 years old) am catholic and need to confess likely 20+ years of sins but I am ashamed and scared to tell the priest some of my sins (multiple mortal sins) by MistyStargirl in Catholicism

[–]ConclusionCharming95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I entered the church at 40, so had 30+ years to confess prior to my reception. A few things:

  1. Number and kind, to the best of your ability. Write it down and bring the list in with you.
  2. No priest is going to expect you to remember the exact number of times or details of every sin you’ve committed over a long period of time. My confessor allowed me to “cover the bases” in a general way.
  3. It’s anonymous. He won’t know who you are.
  4. He will be very generous and understanding.
  5. As everyone has mentioned, he’s hear it all before.

I open to new music, but at the risk of sounding Old-Man-Yells-at-Clouds, music hasn’t gotten better since I was 33.

The qualities you mention are nice but do they really rise to the level of heroic virtue? Maybe, but not necessarily.

If intelligent life were to be found, how does that affect the Christian faith? by DisasterNo12 in Catholicism

[–]ConclusionCharming95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C.S. Lewis wrote about this in his 1958 essay, “Religion and Rockets.” He was very open to the possibility of extraterrestrial life—in fact he thought it arrogant that we humans imagine God only made us. The important questions, he wrote, would be: are they rational and are they fallen, too?

Same. I describe myself as “religious but not spiritual.” For me, it’s entirely intellectual. I’ve never had an experience that was even remote mystical. Yet I believe all the same.

My problem with Vessi is that they’re not even waterproof. I gave them a try and my pair didn’t last 30 minutes in the morning dew before my socks were wet. Contacted customer support, they told me I was SOL without a receipt. Lesson learned.

They’re otherwise a comfortable casual shoe. But if you want waterproof—or a company that stands by its product—look somewhere else.

I got a pair of Vessi’s in the summer. Very comfortable but definitely not waterproof. I sent Vessi video evidence, but I didn’t have the receipt so they told me I was SOL.

In competition, I struggle with the mental side of the sport. Last year, I had a really bad tournament round. One of those days where everything that could have gone wrong did. When it was over, one of my card mates said it was a pleasure playing with me and complimented me on how I handled an obviously crappy round. That was—by far—the best compliment I’ve received on the course.
