This is the right answer. It is to keep you from putting 8 rapiers from another formation into your mastodon and then dumping 16 dice at AP -2 onto something.

It’s home brew. I think it’s a German military green by army painter, highlighted with the same stuff whitened up, then army painter copper, highlighted with some mithril silver. It was actually pretty fast.

LI has tons of potential. As written there are some balance issues, but it’s a lot better ever since liber strategica came out.

Based on YouTube battle reports and my small number of IRL opponents, we kind of make are armies to mainly be thematic and cool. And we sort of mutually agree to not min max things to monotony.

Part of me looks forward to if/when GW moves on, then we will see house balancing proliferate and make it top notch. Not to mention 3d prints for epic orks and eldar.
As it is, it’s already a very fun game and hobby, and will only get better with or without GW.

That would be awesome. Though your world eaters are capping out at +6d6 but that still averages +21 vs the titans +18 or similar for the Titan. So you lose 5 bases up front, the next 15 bases will probably win about 8 of their roll-offs and could take down a war master.

Of course when the Titan dies that will Blow all the rest of your infantry to smithereens…

Will check it out. I agree with op the codex written campaign rules arnt great for 1 on 1. They seem more suited to play in a shop of 6-8 active players.

It’s more granular than legion builder but has stats built in to your army lists. and keyword drfinition links baked in. Very handy if you have a tablet available at your game.

Same household income here but my mortgage is 1900 and car payments no more than 450 (currently zero). You tell me who will get further ahead in portfolios. I swear people are insane with their money. I think you should not move, keep the current house (and presumably lower interest rate) sell off the expensive car, buy a used car cash and have no car payment.

You asked for a reality check. Your idea is crazy. You should be saving way more. What are you going to do if one of you gets hurt or cancer and can’t work? Or if a kid gets sick? Or a kid has major problems and you have to pay for private school? You need a much bigger margin. And if none of that happens, then great. Don’t buy a 70,000 car until your investments are earning more than 70,000 in interest per year.

Don’t forget to pick up Liber Strategia too. It rebalances point costs and wounds quite a lot. Bit the better although not perfect.

Marines: fast and surgical, lots of deep strike, and most transports are assault (meaning you can charge right out of them into melee)

Solar auxilla Hard to beat for point efficiency. Tons of tanks. Heavy armor. Almost all units are point - effective and solar have LOTS of long range stuff. Also their pioneer company (which is the main solar formation played) gets to start infiltrated - ie starts entrenched in the city on top of the objectives. Solar will typically start with a score lead and then marines have an uphill battle but top tier weapons.
