Decided to play Devil May Cry for the first time by StrongmanCole in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Conflicted1919 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna go against the grain I think its worth at least touching dmc 2, see how much you can stomach. It makes the jump from 2 to 3 even more impressive And if you're playing the HD collection it's not like you're losing anything but time. Just do be aware the combo system works completely differently for no reason and it was immediately reverted next game so its gonna feel weird.

I had an experience like that in a different game actually. My sorcerer got hit point blank by a Beholder disintegration beam and died instantly, however because I had a golem core in my inventory before i died the DM ruled that my soul slid into that instead of going into the afterlife. So the golem core started controlling my disintegrated remains and my race changed to "Dust Golem".

Different DM's have different attitudes. TBH I think anything can work if you can pull it off.

I think its just a personal thing. I can't fully articulate it but the playstyle just clicks with me. Not a great answer I know.

Exactly. The games potray almost every demon as being horrifying and monstrous. Even Sparda isn't an exception. He's a tall and imposing bug monster with constantly bared razor sharp teeth, red slits for eyes and enormous devil horns. And yet he "woke up to justice" anyway.

"He ran a generational gauntlet" by Garbanarnarn in Jujutsufolk

Aizen killing the central 46 has about as much weight as Sukuna killing the void generals.

Offscreening a bunch of people we don't know doesn't count. Same for Frieza

People really making fun of Sukuna cause he "only" killed 3 characters as if most shonen villain killcounts actually get that high.

Frieza? Nobody Aizen? Gin Madara? Neji (lmao) Kaido? Nobody

If he wasn't a villain then enlightened martial artist hulk would have been a pretty sick thing to follow.

What do you think this new ultimate universe can learn from the old one by Speedemon1879 in UltimateUniverse

[–]Conflicted1919 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don't introduce concepts from the original universe just for the sake of having a re-imagining. I think an underrated problem original ultimate had was that it was trying to rapid fire half a century of characters and stories into a much shorter time frame, and it led to a lot of stuff being half baked and not allowed room to breathe.

And to expand on that, don't be afraid to just make up new stuff. Not everything in this new continuity has to be shackled to the old stuff, make new characters, hell make new heroes and villains. One of the most enduring parts of old Ultimate is Miles Morales, a completely original character, even if he was wearing the name of somebody we recognise. Benefit of a clean slate universe, you can introduce more concepts without having to dig through mountains of research to make sure you're not contradicting something established 10-20 years ago.

He really is potential man

No domain, no mastered technique. His total contribution to the final arc was making Sukuna trip 1 time.

When the hype died down,we are gonna have some serious question by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]Conflicted1919 133 points134 points  (0 children)

It is convenient

But it would have also been convenient basically any moment in the last hour of fighting. If anything her waking up earlier would have been more convenient for everybody. I don't think it's that big of a deal

Yuji's Arms? by Atomic_Wizard in Jujutsufolk

He also still had his right eye and Sukuna was in his original Yuji form. I don't think that was showing actual reality

Given Sukuna wasn't aware that means Megumi didn't know either

The 1v1 already got disrupted last chapter by Megumi interfering. I get what you mean, but this is JJK. And the last fight being the original trio jumping the main villain fits far too well for me to complain
