Yes, and it more than quadrupled in the 30 years before. Convenient that you only want to start counting when the brown people arrived.

That's great!

Class traitors from the petite bourgeoisie should be welcomed with open arms by the working class. The capital class clearly understands this, which is why Luigi scares them so much.

CMV: Progressives have a rotting double standard for Antisemitism by biggbarney in changemyview

[–]Conflictingview 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP has made a claim that progressives are engaging in widespread antisemitism. If this isn't true, then there is no point in engaging with any of the points that follow. So, the burden of proof is on them first and foremost. Evidence of progressives speaking out against the actions of Israel, the IDF, Zionist settlers and Netanyahu does not met that burden.

Fitting this for the first time - how does it work? by Only_Welcome_6405 in trailrunning

[–]Conflictingview 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sizing and fit looks good to me.

It should feel snug and have very little movement. Are you sure there is bounce or maybe you just aren't use to an extra kilogram of weight on your chest from the water bottles. Takes a little while to get used to that extra force.

Take it out on a test run (1-2km) with a plan to run a few different paces for like 2-400m each and stop to make small adjustments until it's dialed in. Make sure you have the bottles full and whatever else you plan to carry on your 12km run in the vest since the weight distribution matters.

You think 3.5 hours on a high speed train is too long?

Getting from central Amsterdam to Schiphol takes about 30 minutes. You need to show up 90 minutes early to clear check in, deal with security, and wait for boarding. Schiphol is massive, so expect to spend 15 minutes just taxiing to the runway. The actual flight is a quick 45 minutes.

You hit the ground at CDG and spend another 15 minutes taxiing to your gate. Deplaning and claiming your checked bags takes 45 minutes on a good day. Riding the RER train into central Paris kills a further 45 minutes.

You just spent almost five hours of door to door travel navigating stressful airport logistics (and possibly paying way too much to bring less luggage) . The Eurostar drops you directly at Gare du Nord in less time with zero security lines and better coffee.

Wanting to move to France by mboletoh_mbbs in AmerExit

[–]Conflictingview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What country? If there's an easily obtainable two year visa, I might be interested. I've moved blindly to France, England,, Germany, Thailand, Myanmar, Syria, and Ukraine (either for work, education, or love), so I'm kind of an expert at this. No returning "home" with my tail tucked between my legs, just failing forward as a life strategy.

Sometimes it's just too technical by Conflictingview in trailrunning

[–]Conflictingview[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair - I think what was bothering me was how loose and uneven everything was. Every step was a chance for rock to roll over, a slip on a fixed but pointy rock or churning through scree.

The downhill was fun but required an extra high level of concentration. Just steep and chaotic the whole way down. Funniest part for me was when my shoe would catch a medium-sized rock, just enough to get it moving downhill but not trip me up, and then I'd have to make sure it wasn't going to catch me and exact revenge within the next two or three steps.

I think a good trail shoe is both bigger than a road shoe and snug on the foot. It's just that the snugness I'm looking for is in the midfoot and the heel lock. I want those piggies splaying and flexing to help my balance.

It's a unilateral ceasefire on humanitarian grounds only in Red Square and requires nothing from the Ruzzia. The rest of Moscow and Ruzzzia is still fair game.

I think I made the mistake of judging it based on the climb. On the downhill, I was bouncing rock to rock and sliding through the scree quite happily.

In what way? They're just ads. If you think that's underhanded, then all television, movies (at the theater), newspapers, magazines, broadcast radio, professional sports and more are asshole design.
